My Police Department (To my understanding)

No clue, Just had someone come onto the forums posting that they're a law student and their local department is corrupt or was corrupt (Probably isn't now, just what everyone says when they get pulled over for "no reason") No clue why we started talking about our own departments... lol

To answer your questions... I decided to do this as I thought it'd be interesting. And also my police department isn't corrupt anymore as you had stated. I'm describing HISTORY of my PD, not current day issues, since it's harder to be corrupted now probably due to the fact the town is no longer industrial... It is in fact, part of Waterford Township... My town within the township is Atco. Also withing the township is Louden, a small town that used to have its own FD and doesn't anymore as Waterford just claimed it as there own. Also my town has a big budget spending problem as the PD always buys new cars when we have 3-4 officers on a shift. and we have about... 15-20 cars... Mostly Crown Vics, 3 dodge chargers (2 Tactical response units, and one undercover... In case you didn't know, The tactical unit has M16s and a vest) and a local SWAT team comprised of Winslow Township, WTPD, and Berlin township... The Sheriffs department DOES have their own SWAT team, but we only call them in for "HOLY SHIT WE NEED MORE FIREPOWER" moments... And even then we don't really use that unit much...

I'm Canadian, my local pd gives out free maple syrup.

The second isn't a tank either. It's an M109 self-propelled howitzer (i.e. an artillery piece), and from what I can tell is exclusively used for display and PR (it's not very maneuverable due in part to the decommissioned barrel, and only fits 6 crew; it's really not a useful vehicle for police work).

Awww you beat me to it. But yes cp is right, that isn't a tank it is a SPG and like he said it isn't very useful for police work due to its limited mobility especially in built up areas. In the military those things are meant for sitting in the rear and launching 155mm artillery shells over 10 miles.

I'm with everyone else, this seems very random and doesn't appear to have any kind of topic to discuss.

Interesting. I'm Canadian too and my local PD rides polar bears for their patrols. Our K-9 unit isn't traditional either, we use Moose. It's very awkward and weird seeing a Moose piggyback a polar bear.

Are you still usin g the mooses? we upgraded to the 2008 beavers.

My local sheriff's department in the Maricopa County sheriff, notorious for its racism against Hispanics, as well as owning 2 tanks for some goddamn reason.

The first one I kind of see a reason for using but a Bear cat would probably be better.

As for the second one... It is an expensive billboard... that's all I can describe it as.
