No, my processor is above the minimum requirements. It's a 2015 model. I don't have this the problem with other games that require more CPU and GPU power. I just hit 28fps, that isn't normal.

By your processor, you do not meet the minimum requirements for Grand Theft Auto V, your laptop is just something overpriced because of the GPU...

Umm, 2 cores much? The bare minimum for V is 4 cores.

Starmix is correct: http://www.pcgamer.com/gta-5-system-requirements-announced/

Your CPU has four "threads" due to Intel's Hyperthreading technology, but only two physical cores; one of which becomes disabled when higher clock speed is required. That being said, I'd take a look at your drivers. Ensure they're updated. If they are, try rolling back a version, or see if nVidia has a new set of beta drivers available.

Yes it's a 2015 model, some new technology ;) it's called the Graphics Amplifier.

OPEN UP NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL.

Manage 3D Settings.

Scroll to multi-display/mixed-gpu acceleration.

Make sure this is at Single Display performance.

Go to program settings within 3D settings.

Select GTAV and do the same there.

Report back to me.

Quite understandable, since your CPU is well, shit, the GPU is waiting for the CPU to finish its task probably.

Yep, releasing that to. But strange that I don't have this with other games.

If you can get on the LCPDFR Teamspeak, it might be easier for me to assist you.

Try one of these things (I know it's old fashioned but it does work from time to time): Try closing some background programs running in the background via task manager, try disabling some programs on startup that you don't need. Also try to free up some free space on your hard drive. CCleaner will probably help on most if not all of those things to at least clear up some stuff that might prevent your laptop from running at its maximum.

Thanks for your help! I already do that every time. I use Wise Care Pro.

You're very welcome. I have CCleaner and Tuneup Utilities (Not AVG Tuneup) to help clear out some junk and to improve performance for general use. =3

Hey I came across your thread the other day looking for a possible fix for my own problem of low FPS with my GTX 970. If you already fixed your issue then ignore this but if not then another thread I came upon mentioned using this program:

 http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Basically what it does is completely uninstalls your drivers and all registry files in windows. Then you just reinstall the latest Nvidia driver like you just reinstalled a fresh copy of windows. I just did this earlier today and was able to fix my problem of low FPS . Before the ill gotten gains update my FPS was 60-70 with geforce experience settings and then after the update until now my FPS has been 30-40 no matter what settings I changed. After using the program and reinstalling the latest Nividia driver my FPS is back up to 60-70 with geforce experience recommended settings. I think this could probably help you. Even if it does not a fresh install of drivers never hurts. Good luck and hopefully it works.
