Dear LSPDFR devs,

Seeing as almost all of the newly updated mods now use the new AnimationTask introduced in RPH 0.22, it is incredibly impractical to keep packaging RPH 0.20 with LSPDFR. Most people don't know what RPH is, let alone how to update it, which leads to a ton of confusion and unnecessary support requests for our mods.

I think the modding community would greatly appreciate it if you could upload LSPDFR 0.2b with RPH 0.22 or higher packaged with it. In my case, it would save me lots of time explaining how to update RPH and explaining why someone's LSPDFR is crashing.

LSPDFR 0.2b doesn't officially support RPH 0.21 or higher. It was built, tested and compiled against 0.20 and thus it supports 0.20. In most cases it works with RPH 0.21 and above, but it's not officially supported so odd behavior can potentially occur. 

A quick reminder from what Cyan said on a mod list post:

"It should probably be noted that LSPDFR may not play nicely with third-party modifications and is intended to run on a vanilla (completely unmodded)  game.
If you ever seek support, we would encourage you to disable or remove any third-party modifications to see if that fixes your issue."

It would actually be impractical to package the mod with a version of RPH that is not officially supported.

That being said I'm not a member of the development team, so what I say is not a final stance on the situation (unless confirmed by the devs).

You shouldn't really be using a version of Rage Plugin Hook that LSPDFR hasn't been compiled against.

^^ Well, in a future update, you can still compile it against a newer (say 0.22 or 0.25 right away) version of RPH.

As far as I know RPH 0.24 causes several issues. I still updated to 0.22 some time ago (kinda forced to it since everyone updated their plugin for 0.22) but yeah honestly I believe that this is a case where the various modders should only support the version of RPH that comes with LSPDFR and if people want to update to the newest version of RPH that's their own problem.

Newest updates are not always for the best (you can see this many times with driver updates). If things are working fine with 0.20 there is no need to get a newer version till LSPDFR supports it.
