The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Suggestion: Cop specific loadout

I dont like the fact that regardless of what agency you're playing as you have the same pistol and shotgun. I was thinking that a better idea would to have cop specific loadout. 

For example

LSPD officer/LSSD deputy= Same loadout that you have now

NOOSE/SWAT= Assault Carbine, Default Pistol, Tear gas

FIB= Combat Pistol, SMG 

IAA= AP pistol 

Pilot= Pistol in case he has to make an emergency landing

Prison guard, who even uses that guy?

It was in the campaign i think, that mission where the FIB, IAA and Merryweather fight each other, its just after the Humane Labs raid 

I like this idea. I doubt it would be difficult to code; surely each ped has a unique ID, just set up some IF statements? 

Although I'm a web programmer, not a game programmer haha.

Exactly, so it wouldn't be that tricky. I had a similar idea for quite a while involving cop-specific callouts (just posted a new forum topic about it).

I dunno if this is the same as what the OP is suggesting, but here's this...

I managed to figure out how to change what the AI has, but not the player.

Go to (mods)/common.rpf/data/ai/loadouts.meta in OpenIV

Drag the .meta file to the desktop, open the .meta file in Notepad, search for the ped you want to modify, in this case I wanted all cops to have the Combat Pistol. Changed the respected fields, saved and moved the file back into the directory. Now every cop I encounter has a Combat Pistol.

HOWEVER, this will not change what the player has by default in LSPDFR. I always end up spawning with the standard Pistol.

I actually thought that some of this was already implemented because I spawned with a carbine assault rifle (think was IAA). I think it would be a good idea too.

Was just about to post about whether tear gas can be added to SWAT loadout and found this when searching forum.

I also found out that if you get in the police heli, which is on the roof of the LS police station with the jail (in vanilla LCPDFR), you can get a sniper rifle :)

Are you sure you didn't get that carbine rifle from a Granger? Getting into one gives you one.

Is that something coded into vanilla GTA or still something added by LCPDFR? Because if it is coded in, it would be cool to just add those suggested loadouts to vehicle types instead. Especially tear gas for SWAT vans :)

Nope, that's base GTA. Regular patrol cars give you a shotgun, Grangers a carbine rifle and some other vehicles give you other stuff but I can't remember what.
