Appreciate the post, even if at times it was a bit "broken English". But I understood it enough. Keep up the good work with ELS! I'm sure many would echo what I'm feeling - that while we may be excited for its release we'd prefer to wait and have an excellent mod than it release now or soon and not be what was envisioned of it (even though the preview videos I've been drooling over look amazing and beautiful already).

Ah'm orderin' you to STAHP!

Thanks for that great explanation. What do you mean with "a resource package that depends on LMS" ?

I can't disclose details on this, sorry.

It will take a matter of months before we are confident to share this kind of information

o_o months?! Geeze! Thankfully Fallout 4 is coming out next week and will pass the time quickly. I'm very much looking forward to it guys! Just take your time, and don't rush it. Life comes first.

Really? You can't say anything about a file system? I don't think it would hurt. all your doing is explaining how a file works and has no relation on how you are developing your mod. you don't have to say anything about your mod itself but id also like to hear how this could be viable without depending on GTA 5 file system which is what i thought all mods do to keep this game more stable than GTA 4.

Thanks for the update GravelRoadCop!  Despite my hope that this would have been released sooner than later. I will say I am extremely happy that you guys are still working on this and that is better news than hearing you guys say we are abandoning this.. So keep up the great work!

@GravelRoadCop I have a question about ELS, if you're able to answer it. Is it going to support LSPDFR's traffic stops natively? For example, if I indicate for a suspect to pull over, instead of holding the horn button if they don't stop, can I blip my sirens at them to make them stop? I feel this would be better in some ways.

I cannot answer this directly, but I can speculate that the ELS system will not have any influences over the LSPDFR framework. If LSPDFR framework has it set so that when you activate the horn, it pulls the suspect over, as they have it coded that way. ELS is a third party source that allows you to have in-depth light and siren features, so it's not coded to influence the actions of LSPDFR. Again, this is not the official capacity of ELS, so it might change down the road, or it might not.

Waiting months and months to release the perfect product leads to nothing being released at all... I hope those were some strong words you were using and that iterative development is still a strategy being considered once LMS figures the technological breakthroughs required to release something ;)

i wasnt really talkin about els as in not being released i believe it will be but the showing of its progress can be a double edge sword you know.. i was however talkin about some other things on here where people where posting pics sayin it was gonna be released and have still not done sooo ..and my question is if a author post photos and stays what they are showing is gonna be released then they end up just letting a couple friends having it and doesnt release to the community what happens then do they get in trouble ???

The developer of ELS (Lt.Caine) is a trusted member of our community and has been for a very long time.  He is the creator of ELS for IV and his work is loved by many.  With that being said there is no doubt amongst the general community and myself that he will release his modification.  As for the date of said release that is currently unknown due to its on-going development.  I will use the example I have used time and time again; The same way Sam likes to post updates in regard to the LSPDFR modification scripters and modelers like to showcase their progress.  With that being said, the answer is yes it is against community guidelines to post content and tease members with content that is not intended for release. Although it should be noted though that ELS for V is intended for release and there is no doubt amongst the community of that release.

very well said and like i noted i truely believe that els is intented for release ..i was just stating from some of the other content ive seen here for awhile still hasnt been released when it is  complete should have been uploaded anywhere . i   was just wondering about the rules on that ..thank you

It will be released, eventually. Designing ELS is an arduous process for Lt.Caine to work on and it takes time to bring you guys the results that you can be happy with in the long-run. It's not the same as modeling or skinning, it's a very different campaign to navigate through. The videos you see aren't personal favorites playing ELS for fun. He hand-picked himself a trusted team that he can depend on for bug reports and other testing tasks in order to design ELS to the fullest working capacity.

@GravelRoadCop I wish people would just be patient and enjoy the mod when it gets here. Some people are acting like they paid for it and it is late. It's sad to be honest. I am so greatful that Lt. Caine and the rest of the group is developing this modification! Thank you guys so much!

Thanks so much for the updates and quite frankly you don't even have to do that. Some of us understand that you guys are hard at work on this program and you want to deliver a quality program and not garbage filled with bugs(which we all know people would do nothing but complain about). So please take your time and keep up the great job you guys are doing. I appreciate you guys spending your free time to work on something that we will all get to enjoy and in the end I have no doubt it will be awesome!
