Really not the point.   It is unrealistic.  If there were 8 ballas firing at you you'd shoot for the head.  I play with realistic car damage as well, but I can't undo what ragehook has done to make these NPCs take 3 or more head shots and survive.   If you deploy your firearm there should be consequences.   Also, hitting them with the stick kills them in 1 shot as well as hitting them with the butt of the gun.   Please accept the good constructive criticism of the game without trying to scrutinize my play style.

I agree with you. Toning down the stun gun was necessary in my opinion, but enabling people to withstand a shot to the head is completely uncalled for. If I am aiming for the head, it is meant to kill. I have not tried a shotgun but I assume it has been tampered with as well.

Not sure if it's been stated but anyone on Chrome who has the download blocked

 

Hit Ctrl + J in chrome to bring up the downloads. Click the "Hurt me" button or whatever it says to allow the file.

Ok, I really dislike reading 14 pages worth of stuff that was posted weeks ago.  But Page 13 there were still some people having issues with the LSPDFR Crashing.   Is everyone able to run the game fine now?  I am assuming yes, since the topic changed to browsers now.  

If not, how about we throw some help my direction.  I downloaded the latest RH and Script Hook V released very recently.  I can get into game and Press F4 fine.  I go on duty all is good.  But 5 min into the game I have the LSPDFR crash on me.  Then after running Plate Checker with Police Radio from FinkOne, I get the Police Radio crash.   

Any ideas out there?

as for finkones radio he put out a hotfix for the plate running, can you post your log for the radio?

Not sure. I have not had this happen for me. The only thing that crashes on me is GTA altogether.

Thanks for the quick reply.  I think I figured it out.  I completely and udderly missed the obvious and its right on the front of the site.  LSPDFR 0.2a I guess my eyes strayed away when it said it wasn't really a new LSPDFR just a Update,  Duh on my part.   Downloading now, site is kinda slow though currently add 14.5 kb/sec  20 min to download a 33.4mb file?   I have 60d/60u  I guess a lot of traffic on server.   Anyways, the file size is a bit off though.  They say its 35 mb but its really 33.4mb  wrong file?

No, it didn't complete. I was having trouble with that day one. Not completing all the way, When I tried to open it, it would say the file was invalid. It took getting the file from a friend who was able to complete the download. Of course, if it worked, then maybe the file has changed since I got it. Although, Im glad you were able to figure it out if you need more help dont hesitate to let us know.

you have to download it again, even tho it says it finished, it didnt. It corrupted try again, if it doesnt work message me.

@‌Sam and G17  With regards to the update that you are currently working on, can we expect any new features or is this focussed on compatibility issues with RAGE, Script hook etc.. and GTA V.

And just to add: Many Thanks for your efforts as well as the entire G17 crew and all those who simply help and assist this site to keep us all patrolling those streets of Los Santos.

Just realized that I was still using 0.2. But I can't download 0.2a...

With Firefox: going through the Capcha thing, hitting Submit. Nothing happens. No download. Just nothing happens.

With Chrome: the file that is "downloaded" has a size of 0.

Edit: just tried with IE, same issue, the file has a size of 0.

Not sure if anyone else is having this issue but when I play LSPDFR I no longer hear radio traffic. Not sure if it was removed or if its not compatible anymore. I hope someone can answer this for me as I have no idea on how to fix this or if it's just the update.

Why do i feel that  a lot of the problems that people report here are caused by  anti virus's nonsense false positive flags

I use Eset nod32, Internet download manager and firefox and have  no problem with files disappearing or not downloading.

It's sad to see browsers flag LSPDFR's file though, It's gotta be frustrating.

 

edit: I also hate UAC. First thing I do after windows installs: Turn off UAC. All UAC does for me is to create problems with my microsoft flight simulator and its addon files.
