ainesophaur got a reaction from billiarboy in [REL | WIP] LSPDFR Computer+a) this is a beta.. It says so. If it crashes too much and ruins your game, then use the previous beta and wait for me to fix it.
b) the instructions for adding ped images is in the release notes section. Click the download button, select the additional assets and extract it to your directory.. I cannot count the number of times I've said this over and over in the comments
c) calling things very buggy and telling me to fix it doesnt encourage me to put my real responsibilities on hold to fix the issue.. I need the free time to update my game and then rewrite an entire section of code.

ainesophaur got a reaction from Steele1925 in [REL | WIP] LSPDFR Computer+Attach your RagePluginHook.log - - I believe I left some debugging statements in there to help troubleshoot picture loading issues.
That's the default behavior of lspdfr, honk to make them find a new spot. The key binding has always been the same as the regular computer (and horn) but now you can change it via ini
1. Integration is planned for the court cases. Iirc albos API allows for programmatic creation of cases.
2. So there already is a screen for accessing the list of arrest reports and citations, but it's hidden. I only created it for my beta testers to just see their reports but I can see how it would have more of a purpose than just testing.
I wouldn't want to load them all in one big shot so I'll probably first present a list of dates that reports were written and selecting the date will show a list of citations and reports for that date.

ainesophaur got a reaction from fireboy6117 in [REL | WIP] LSPDFR Computer+In the latest beta that we're testing internally I added a block for the escape button and the game pause button to try and thwart it
Also a lot of people don't know there is a rage console command called Bind which you can bind a key to a rage command. I would bind my numpad key to the command terminate all plug-ins.. This way if a plug in does lock up I can quickly kill them all

ainesophaur got a reaction from drsn0w in Help us plan the next version of Computer+@Arariel supporting other languages wouldn't be too difficult as we'd just move all "strings" into a dictionary which we'd then use the dictionary to display in game. We would need the community to create other languages, but it'd be just as shareable as the backgrounds in the misc downloads section.
However it seems to be a moot point. I'm glad I started this poll because internalization was a top feature in my mind. With it being possibly removed from the road map, it frees up more time for the rest of the desired improvements

ainesophaur got a reaction from fireboy6117 in Help us plan the next version of Computer+After a long two week stretch coding, we're near the beta release of Arrest Reports. The Computer+ team would like to know "what features do you want next" for the next version (Stable targeted release of March/April 2017)
The next major release beta versions will not be an open beta and will instead be a closed beta. In order to sign up, please PM me (@ainesophur)
Without further ado, below is the list of potential upgrades for version 1.5. The items in the list are currently "internal wish list" items and not all items will make it into version 1.5, however, by voting, we will know which features are the most desired.
Please let us know if you have any feature requests or stability issues which are not in the poll.

ainesophaur got a reaction from Reddington in [REL | WIP] LSPDFR Computer+You actually have a lot of plugins that are encountering their own errors which makes it hard to see what the actual crash is from. Do me a favor and launch the game with just computer+ and lspdfr and let me know if the crash still happens. I do see one line in your log where it complains about computer+ but that should've been a one time crash (looking up a Ped which doesn't exist in the game anymore)
Look in your log for the word Exception and you'll see you have issues with PeterUCallouts and VocalDispatch.
If playing with only Computer+ and lspdfr still crashes then please attach the log

ainesophaur got a reaction from MURFMANJR2416 in [REL | WIP] LSPDFR Computer+In your GTA main directory, there is a file called RagePluginHook.log which contains all the logs from your RAGE plugins. We'll need you to start LCPDFR and Computer+ and make it crash.. when it does, exit GTA and upload the RagePluginHook.log file here. With it we can tell what caused your crash.

ainesophaur got a reaction from BuddaRocks in CALLING DEVS / PLAYERS - Callout ProbabilityRealistically, as mentioned above.. There's no way to have a centralized consistency because anyone can mark their callouts as high. We should create a shared library (similar to the update manager plugin) which plugins can participate in.. Then we can manually trigger each callouts based on randomness without a weight on priority.
Edit: tagging @Darkmyre

ainesophaur got a reaction from Albo1125 in FollowNo I definitely didn't so I apologize if it seemed I was jumping on you.. I wasn't. I just didn't want any of us to scare people away from seeking help.. The past few months have been amazing with plugins and you're one of the pioneers who is always helping out.. So again, sorry if it felt like I was targeting you over one post

ainesophaur got a reaction from epicmrjuan in FollowWhile I partially agree, I don't feel it's our place to put down someone looking for help.. It's why the forum exists (yes it was an API discussion forum but it's grown since the sub forum was created)
This is one of the only forums where people can get great help..the rage forum is dead. It's extremely overwhelming for new developers who never worked with c# before (or any type of coding)
With all of that said.. OP.. Here are some suggestions. They're quite short
1. When you're trying to figure out how to do something in the game look through the Rage api documentation.. Specifically the Entity, Object, Ped, Vector3 and Vehicle classes.. 9/10 what you're looking for is there
2. Experiment a little.. You won't destroy anything with wrong ideas.
3. Try to collect a few problems that you can't figure out and make a post

ainesophaur got a reaction from epicmrjuan in PersuitVehciles in Rage have a TopSpeed property that you can set.
You'll want to save the original top speed to a variable and restore it when your call out is done
