Has anyone had any luck installing and playing LSPDFR on Windows 8.1? I havent had any luck. Ive tried everything under the sun listed here and in the ragehook forums. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

I can play it just fine on 8.1! Make sure you unblock every file that it comes with because that causes it not to run.

It works fine for me. do you get any errors? Also, have you unblocked the ragehook.exe by right clicking > properties > unblock> ok?

Yup i can't play on 8.1, I get a weird error

When you first load up the RageHook there should be a pop up saying that Windows may have blocked some .dll files, and if you click on "Yes" or "Ok" it should unblock them and it should work

so I did the same thing with power shell and I go the unblock back when I click properties. So I did it to all the files like they said and still got nothing just kept crashing on the intro. If anyone that has windows 8 and runs LSPDFR please let us know song don't think I am crazy.

For some reason on my Windows 8.1, RageHook crashes during the intro but it does not affect the game. So, once I am fully loaded in (into freeroam) I just launch RageHook again and everything works fine. For me this is just a minor inconvenience. However, if it is your entire game crashing, I am not sure how to fix that and I apologize.

ok I have not tried it that way just doing it with rage hook. If I can ask I am not to sure how to start it up after the game is loaded and on free roam. If you can let me know how I can do it your way and see if it works thanks.

ok well today I started the game manually then pressed  Alt+tab and then clicked the rage hook the rage logo pops up then I hear 3 beeps and it crashes and then turns the game off. So did I do it the way you do or did I do something wrong. 

Ok, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling a fresh copy. I got the latest versions of script hook V and RageHook. I then launch the came using the ragehookplugin.exe. I get to the logos and get a 3 beep warning. The Rogehook Debugger window is up. I press close and it will exit the game. I have also tried launching the game normally. Then when I am in story mode I try pressing f4. All I get is the native trainers menu however I cannot navigate it. I cant even get my console to appear so I can try to launch ragehook. Thats where I am at. I posted in the rage hook forums. They dont seem to answer many of the posts. I know they are busy but I am hoping just to get a response that this is a known problem and its not us. That way I can stop spinning my wheels on this issue. If thats the case I will just came back at a later time and hope these issues were resolved.

I am getting the same problem and not one dev neither on lspdfr or ragehook has been able to help or even respond to possible solutions. Also i dont know if it is just me but rages forums are really bad as in the loading times sucks. It takes like 5 minutes just to load a page

Its not you. They are really slow loading for me as well, and yea I cant get a response from anyone. Kinda of stinks but at this point there is not much more to do. I make ask for the source code as I am a developer myself. See if maybe I cant track down the issue. I will keep you guys informed. Please let me know if you find any solutions. Oh yea I also tried compatibility mode and it still crashed.

Ok guys another user showed me what to do and I did it and LSPDFR 0.2 and the before one work for me just fine. Now make sure you use powershell to get you unblock button open then get your game to vanilla no other mods first nothing put them in after you install LSPDFR and you see it works then do this

Install LSPDFR.

2. Visit www.ragepluginhook.com

3. Go to the "Downloads" tab.

4. Download the most updated RageHook. (Updated 7/10/15)

5. Drag all of the files in the RageHook folder to your GTA V Directory.

6. Launch GTA V with RAGEPluginHook.exe (Located in your GTA V Directory)

i did just that as he said and I have windows8 and it works great I don't get the 3 beeps and crash any more loads just fine and I have been playing for the past 3 days with no prob. Good luck guys hopes it works and let me know 

 

So I have win 8.1 and can load lspdfr 0.2 just fine but when I spawn with my officer and patrol car the only things that work is the police computer and interaction window. I cant pull anyone over and I only spwan with a pistol.  ive tried reinstalling gta v and I have no other mods installed, please help!

try going vanilla take out everything and then do what I said in the last post. I did that and it works with no problem everything no crash nothing so try it out. And the put the mods in one buy one and see it anything crashes with the mod.

Did it and still nothing. Everything seems to load just fine I go to the police station load my officer select my patrol car and go into the game world, however its like once I go on duty I cant do anything else in regards to the mod. was you able to play the last version of lSPDFR or you could not play that one as well. did you unblock all the files as well and have rage working as admin. cause I am trying to think but I did everything on that list and it worked. and you said you got the 7-10 rage hook right umm idk you should start a new post see what help you get.

ok so you have the latest rage hook and unblocked it all and put them the root. Just get the hook from rage and set the rage on admin. If you have a default file and just running LSPDFR with all the updates it should work. I am running it with no problem after I updated my rage hook all was good. Just make sure you have no other modds or anything like that. Maybe if you re install and do it  then see what happens I hope you get it working. Does the police mod work for you I know it is not LSPDFR but can play that while you work on this.
