  • It could always be before?

  • There were some tentative plans to try to release before the update, but it seemed impractical upon reflection, and we didn't want to have a situation where we release one day, and the next day the ga

    You all should be patient. It will probably be released when Sam's new office clock arrives.

Everyone acting like he's paid to do this. I think Sam should take as long as he needs to polish version 2. He could be running into technical difficulties. He could be having an explosive diarrhea. It could be anything. Just be patience. I understand ya'll are excited but damn, have some self-control. Sam is a brilliant sport, he's capable of doing something that most of us can't do, or at least on his level and he didn't get a single dime out of it.

If I were to guess, the banner's down either because they couldn't meet the release date, or because they're uploading it right now.

Key words: guess.

He can release it whenever he wants i'm just happy the site is back up because no site no LSPDFR. The update to LSPDRF will come and it will be worth the wait so just buckle up for this hectic ride and just wait it out.

I guess its Rockstar's ball...... and they don't want anyone to play wi it. I blame their parents.

Well Rockstar, we know a guy called Sam, and he wants us all to play......

That's true and most forget that Rockstar owes the community nothing when it comes to allowing modding, its their game they can and WILL do what they want.  I mentioned in another post that its a good thing Rockstar is taking the cheating issue seriously, however their efforts are in vein when someone as skilled as Sam and the rest of G17 can rout it in a matter of hours.

Good Point Well Put - The Main difference being, Sam is a human, and lucky for us, a mighty fine example of one. Crapstar is a piece of paper, a corporation.

Human = Compassion /  Corporation=Income(power/control)

Despite a sense of appreciation towards Crapstar on GTAV and all its creation, I appreciate Sam more. The majority I guess have paid for the game ,surely we all have a rite to mod it? and why not open modded lobbies online as well as non modded lobbies. I'd prefer they discount the RRP and make DLC optional, maybe adding a SMALL fee for those who want it (Bugs/Fixes etc should always be supplied at no extra charge).... I mean Gold Plane or LSPDFR? erm Wooden boat or LSPDFR? erm  Julia Cesar's Oak edged finished AK47 handle or LSPDFR?

Much Appreciation to Sam and G17 and all those who really give it that extra mile.....my hat off to you all!

Not really, no. You don't "own" the game specifically. You own a "license" to the game, an agreement between you, the user, and the company, in this case Rockstar, to use their product. Key word their product. This is true for every game. You also have to understand that Rockstar's creative and artistic direction in what they want and see in their games out rules what you or I want. It's kind of like if you decided to draw a big picture of let's say, the Ocean. Then, someone comes along and says "hey, this would be better if it had the entire cast of The Little Mermaid in it - also, frogs because everyone likes frogs!" When all you really wanted was to draw an Ocean.

Don't get me wrong, I don't disagree with you, I wish Rockstar would be more lenient to mods, mostly because Rockstar has created a vast world with seemingly endless possibilities. But, at the same time Rockstar has already created a product that by vanilla standards millions and billions seem to love, from the very start of the GTA franchise.

TBH its a game I play, not a license, I see what your saying, although its down to one thing pal... Greed. Crapstar are hungry, too hungry. If something in life can be a great creation, lets all share/add and enjoy. Like I said the corporates chase the money for the reason of control, then the playing with minds kicks in and god knows what follows.

Statement of the year so far

'We have no issues towards the modding community, especially single player....we don't give a f***''  (Rockstar 2015)
