  • Nice.  Can't wait to make sure I plug plate-checker into it, at the least.

  • You should know better by now.

  • NoCountdown
    NoCountdown

Wait, there was actually a countdown before? Quite odd that I didn't notice it.

Looking at the photo of the computer on page one, the date is in Euro format (Day, Month, Year). Since the sim is taking place in Los Angeles would it be possible to have the computer show the date in lower right corner to the US Format of Month Day Year?

No worries if you can't I was just curious if it was interchangeable.

Sam said it should show in your system's time/date format.

This is pretty awesome! Would love to see it slightly tweaked to:

  • Be in the corner of the screen.
    • It's a struggle to see the plate number when the computer's text is in front of it
  • Be able to type with keyboard and drive with Xbox controller
    • Sometimes the car moves slightly forward, and the plate becomes difficult to see
  • Optional auto-complete feature
    • Manually typing it in is more realistic, but some plates are difficult to distinguish between 0's and O's. Would be great to have the option to auto-input the plate number

I have noticed that the Plates have a standard which is the following  two numbers, three letters, three numbers.  Exactly in that order if you remember that layout any O or 0 could be figured out by where the 0 i located.

020MQ158  I ran into this exact plate that made me wonder if which were zeros and which were O's  when typing it in I followed the rule above and it worked.

Hope this helps ya out.

Thanks for sharing! That'll definitely help.

Still hoping for an optional autocomplete feature for those occasional times I'm lazy or in a hurry (before the light turns green) :D

I agree with this 100%, I would like to see an APL (Automatic Plate Reader) integrated with LSPDFR police computer and once it picks something up it blimps on your radar and tells you what the flag is.  Its great to use on parked cars as well as cruising the streets.
