Suggestion for the LCPDFR.com website

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I know you guys are overwhelmed right now with the new LSPD First Response  0.1 beta

This is just a more of a suggestion for the website.  The website is awesome don't get me wrong, but its sometimes hard to differentiate between GTA IV or GTA V download section.  Like a Tow truck mod or new vehicles etc.  I have to look at the date and determine if its something from 2013 then its not for GTA 5.

My suggestion would be to have 2 totally different sections of the website.  Splash screen and the user can click on GTA IV or a GTA V button, then once there  everything related to GTA 5 would be appropriate for just that game.  I am finding mods that look great only to find out its not for this particular game and vice versa because I do still play GTA IV.

Small thing in the scope of things but something to consider down the road.

Thanks and great job on the release!

What would be nice to see is the LSPD:FR website actually working fully. I'm unsure whether this affects just me, but the search function doesn't work properly, for example I type in BMW into the search function and I get "No results found", thats obviously impossible considering half of Europe has a BMW in it's fleets. I type in Ford and posts from 2011 appear, so I have to navigate through 600 topics of "Ford" to find a 2015 post. The filter by type doesn't work either, I was searching for ObsidianGame's profile because he frequently releases new mods, so instead of searching through images which have "ObsidianGames" tagged, I used the filter function which just gave me the exact same results.

I understand that this is a very small community, LSPD:FR is not people's full time job but the loss of such useful functionality is important to correct. I still use GTA IV until I am ready to move over to GTA V and as such I will be needing the Search bar to work as it used to.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Took me a second to find the Category area.  Thanks for the input.  Now I hope that anyone that has never played this mod before can easily access the GTA V category section.

Yes, I'd also like IPS' search functionality to work correctly.
