I run the game through Rage Hook and all that, I've unblocked everything, tried redownloading it, everything. I get in game and press F4 then it pauses the game, but no console pops up, or drops down like my friends tell me it will. I have tried everything they've told me, but nothing works.

Try starting the game first, alt-tabbing out, then run RagePluginHook.

Have already tried, still the same thing.

use every file that comes with  RAGE Plugin Hook - Open Alpha - 0.1.508.2094  an dremember to unblock everything

run / use  with rage launcher as admin after installing everything

worked for me i'm in game and everything loaded also worked for some1 else

Mine had the same thing all i did was run ragehook as administrator

I saw a video but unfortunately I forgot the name of the creator. Anyways, it actually froze your game or paused it (like popped up the menu and stuff)? If it froze, the console is there but is not showing up. Just type the command and hit enter. You might have to hit enter twice or more because the actual pause menu will come up while you type the command.

Using the very first RAGE version doesn't help either. Sigh.

What's sad is that I was able to play it with the latest version of 01b somehow after having trouble loading the console with the previous versions. But once I installed 01c, I couldn't open the console again. I reverted back, and it wouldn't work anymore. I've done every recommendation under the sun, and it just won't show up.

Hey I was having the same problem as you, anyway I followed K-9's link to the ragehook download page and actually downloaded the most recent one. (2285) It may be a newer version than what lspdfr is using but it still works for me and it actually works! lol. Try downloading the most recent, and make sure its running as administrator

At this point, I've pretty much given up hope and will wait until they do something different with activating the plugins. At least I had a taste of LSPDFR, if only for a short while. I actually regret updating to a newer version of it lol.

Nope. I tried that, still doesn't work for me. It seems like Ragehook is not running. I don't get a crash or any error message but F4 does nothing, not even a freeze. I also don't get the ragehook welcome message in the top left corner.

I tried a fresh GTA install, the very first and latest ragehook versions and multiple LCPDFR versions but nothing works.

If you are having issues after installing the "c" (or later) version, open startup.rphs with notepad or something similar, and remove the text from it (should say "LoadPlugin "LSPD First Response.dll"). Then, follow these instructions to start LSPDFR:

Launch GTA via RAGEPluginHook.exe, located in your GTA V directory.
Once GTA V has completely loaded up (you’re in-game), press F4 and type the following: LoadPlugin “LSPD First Response.dll” (you must include the quotation marks!)

If you are using version "b" or earlier, try downloading the current version (I believe we're at "d" now). You do not have to open the console to start the mod with "c" or later.

That's the strange thing about it. I assumed that the startup.rphs was meant to auto-start the plugin once ingame, but once I load in, nothing seems to be different. The icons for the police stations are not available and pressing E beside their doors won't let me go on-duty.

It's as if RAGEPluginHook starts up along with the game, but stops once you're in it. I have it set to run on admin too, btw.

EDIT: Okay, it keeps getting weirder. I tried launching it again (01d, no changes and was recently not working at all) and it somehow decided to work. I could open the console once the game started and played LSPDFR. However, after restarting the game to see if it really fixed itself, it stops working again.

I have the exact same problem with the console, from the moment when RageHook got released I haven't been able too see it..

RageHook support goes into the RageHook forums - Not here. 

I had this issue, just download Rage again and copy them to your game like before...if you install mods or patch your game, I think you need to install RAGE again and run the main .exe so it can UNLOCK any new .dll files.

 

I did this and it works again.

I have the same problem and I tried everything. The RAGE Hook loads, everything looks fine and when I press F4, the game is paused but there is no console visible. After pressing F4 again the game goes on again. Any more ideas? I have quite a lot of mods as well but it was working before with them. Thanks.

I have found that if you are using ScriptHookV it will do the exact thing you are mentioning. I too have had the same problem and I am currently trying to find a workaround so I can use RageHook and ScriptHook. There are some suggestions above that I have yet to try and if you have not tried them either, I'd advise you to do so.
