First off don't ask me how I got my mods to work online. Until LCPDFR changes their stance on mods that work online I will not be giving tutorials/info on this. This is just a proof of concept video of the ability to use police mods specifically Police Mod 1.0c online in GTAV. Hope you guys enjoy

I dont get why Rockstar isnt able to release something like a dedicated server version or whatever the heck you call it. If im going to setup my own server for me and my friends its up to me whats all

  • I understand that, but the modifying of the Scripthook is unauthorized. GTA O is not the same as GTA IV Multiplayer, it should be kept free from mods as long as it goes. You might be surprised to hear

It's not hard to do, it's not just something we'll ever condone doing. Neither does Alexander Blade since you're using a version of his scripthook that has been modified against his wishes.

Call us party killers, but we're not about using mods Online.

Never meant any disrespect. I wholeheartedly accept LCPDFR's view on the matter. Just trying to show how even the simplest of scripts like 1.0c work online fairly well. I also don't condone the modifying/stealing of people's work.

Everyone has a different opinion about online usage of mods; I on one hand am just trying to have the most fun with my friends.

We can all hope for true private sessions to become real in the future though.

There are such things as closed sessions in GTA O.(The video was shot in one) Although I understand your opinion because I also enjoy playing GTA O unmodded as it is meant to be. When using the mods in the video above though I don't think of it as though I am playing GTA O as much as I see it as role playing law enforcement with friends.

Does not really matter if it is a closed session / crew session / friends session / invite online / solo session. It can all affect GTA O, and that's the line Rockstar is taking. It is a bannable offence, even though it seems at the moment they're not doing much. Probably gearing up for another ban wave.

I personally find GTA O boring after awhile. It's the same old thing over and over.

"I love you all, and that's why we don't get caught doing naughty things!" - GTA V Heist Dude.

Couldn't agree more. It ruins GTA O and the scripthook wasn't intended to work online. In my opinion it's disrespectful to ignore the developers wish not to use it online. A lot of developers working hard in there free time to allow us the experience of mods in GTA V. Abusing their mods to work online is totaly disrespectful.

I agree in the sense that people should adapt mods against authors wishes, but i disagree that mods shouldnt be allowed in GTA:O, Some of the best lcpdfr gamers do it with friends in mulitplayer, it opens a whole new way of playing lcpdfr and brings more to roleplaying and being an officer in general.

But again, GTA O is not GTA IV Multiplayer. Mods affect so much more than it did in GTA IV. GTA O is a living, breathing world with integrated stats, money, cars, houses, garages and so on, all that can be messed up with the use of mods, intentional or not. GTA IV did not have that.

GTA IV's Multiplayer was a collection of minigames. GTA:O is (at least in my mind) a completely separate game to GTA V, and should be treated that way.

The sole reason we do not condone online modding, is that usually what starts with a small police mod in a closed sessions, quickly escalates into a trainer in a public session. It just kinda ruins the game for everyone else.

Everyone has their own opinion on this and no one is right or wrong when it comes to modding in GTA O. Until Rockstar explicitly states that ALL forms of modding in GTAO is prohibited there will always be these kinds of mods in the community being abused/used online. I for one am in between how I feel about it in the sense that modding online should be done responsibly. TL;DR modding online comes down to opinions at this point.

Since I was playing within the modding policy made and stated by Rockstar I pretty sure using a police mod in a closed session doesn't hurt anyone and is far from frowned upon.

"Our primary focus is on protectingGTA Online against modifications that could give players an unfair advantage, disrupt gameplay, or cause griefing. It also bears mentioning that because game mods are by definition unauthorized, they may be broken by technical updates, cause instability, or affect your game in other unforeseen ways.” - Rockstar on the usage of modifications online.

Changing your player model and so on is disrupting normal gameplay I'd say.

Exactly my point it comes down to opinion there is no clear set in stone list of what is considered what. I can counter argue that since I'm in a solo session or closed session I am not disrupting any open public session which would be frowned upon. You're no more right than I am.

The issue here is not if other people can see it, it's if you are modyfing the game and giving yourself an unfair advantage. Ask Rockstar that question if it'd be more okay to do it in a closed session or a public session, they wouldn't differ between them, simply because GTA O is so much more than GTA V Multiplayer.

What advantage am I gaining from this specific modification? I do believe Rockstar would see a public session of nonabusive modification and a closed session differently. These mods are not leading to statpadding, vehicle hacking, cash modding or anything that would break/abuse the GTA O economy/statistics/leaderboards. No matter the arguments you make you will never be right nor will I. The only judge in these cases are Rockstar themselves is the point that I am making here. Everything you are arguing is opinion as is everything I'm arguing.
