Constructive criticism: How about using the line and other shape tools to make straight, clean lines and shapes rather than... scribbles?

thanks for the feedback! and ya i didnt know about the line thing. but my skins will get better because i know about them now!

Yeah well I'm not sure what program you are working with or if you are working with a template at all but my suggestion would be to at least try to work with a graphics program that has layers so that you can have the template on the base layer, then on layers on top of that you can do the design and follow the shapes of the template, then remove the template layer before you save the finished design.

If you are using a program like photoshop or pixlr.com then what I use the most is the polygonal lasso tool, I use it to make big selections for clean shapes on the vehicle and then fill that selection in with the paint bucket.

Or even just try making a clean pattern (checker boxes, solid lines) and just repeat it across the vehicle (but line each part of it up).

I use Paint.net and yes I use templates. and it does have layers. So I will do that next time. Though, I dont like my skins to be exactly like a real car. i like them to be fun, original, and just interesting!

Hm not the bast but you could be able to manage to make some decent things with it.

Use the line tool it has (you can hold shift while drawing a line to make it straight) to essentially draw shapes, then use the paintbucket to fill the inside of them

If the lines were straight and neat it would be good. Its still your first attempts so I'm not going to be mean. Take the advice of those above me and try messing around with making the text look more interesting. Drop shadows, outer-glow, gradients. Also you can download a 30 day free trial of photoshop from the Adobe website. That's the best program to use. I use to use the editor on pixlr and recently switched to photoshop and can't believe I didn't do it sooner.
