Hi,
I once downloaded the female voice from the LSPD cop into GTA 4, but I looked on Youtube and found a male, noose and sheriff voice too.
Is there anybody who could change that voices in GTA 4 too?

I can do it as well, but I think it's too many work haha

Likely because they were taken directly from the game's files. In engine they would sound far more realistic because there's background noise, distance, etc etc.

I think it was Sam. I know Olanov and Custo were working on some aswell (don't know if they are working on the whole SAPD or just the SD divisions.)

Yeah, it's a pain in the ass to convert all of them, pick out their slots for IV's conditions, then test them to make sure they work. It takes hours to do the voices for one character. Not to mention, there are a lot of conditions the IV cops have that the V ones don't. Citizen Down being one of the most notable that's missing.

 

I know at one point, we had one of the S_M_Y_SHERIFF's in IV to replace one of M_Y_COP's voices, can't remember which.

Apart from the female cops, I am not sure which other ones were converted.

Yeah it was sam that was doing the voices, although I they're it might be really difficult to convert all of those voices.

They're not that hard to put in the game.

 

 

...Well..... 16 bit Microsoft signed PCM 14000hz WAV or whatever the hell it was.

There are a number of tools that you can get for free and do it yourself.

 

Sam's Speech Decoder, combined with Flitskikker's IV Audio Toolbox and OpenIV allow you to extract the speech files from IV, automatically rename the speech files from V and import them into your speech file for use in IV.

 

I'm working on that right now, but as said above, there are a lot of lines used in IV that do not exist in V and vice versa.
