Gallbladder

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone today As I was making something to eat I got a real bad pain in lower back that also shot under the right rib cage. It was so bad it knocked me to one knee. I then began to have shortness of breath. I wen't to the doctor and after 3 or 4 test The found out that I have gallbladder disease, or Gallstones. I have to receive surgery, however I have no insurance. Is it possible for them to bill me until I get surgery? Also If it gets worse will the .E.R that diagnose handle the problem before my visit to the surgeon?

I'm no hospital expert, but I'm pretty sure hospitals won't make you pay for a surgery before it happens. Also, any ER will handle a problem, just tell them your name and they should be able to pull up your medical records, which will show your diagnosis.

this is not the right place to ask those questions. ask someone who is or knows a nurse or nursing student (better yet a doctor) they should be able to give some insight i would think

Los Santos Metropolitan Police Department: Special Operations Division

Thank You I am just a little nervous :) So I am looking for some answers from some forum buddy's

lol you are fine :) ask away thats what we are here for. also i have an answer. couple years ago my lung collapsed and i didn't have insurance at the time either. they still did my surgery and billed me later. also they sent someone in to talk to me about finances and to see if they could cut my bill down for me. i was in the hospital for 3 weeks and my bill was $125,000. after i got out i got a new adjusted bill in the mail and they forgave an enormous amount of my bill. in the end, i got a final bill of $22,000 that i have to pay.

good luck and i hope everything goes well for you.

You will want to set up a payment plan (if you can), also this question is better suited for yahoo answers, (not telling you where to post) but it's just the people there are more helpful, I have an account with them so.

Thank you :)

no problem. what i would do is contact the hospital before your procedure. let them know that you are uninsured and that you will need to speak to someone in their financial department. he will come talk to you and take your information. that way everything is in motion, because it can take a bit to get that part settled. just dont stress out. there are programs available in every state to help those without insurance.

if you have any more questions i'll do what i can to help :D

I'll do it for free. According to Surgeon Simulator, i'll need a hammer, a drill, and a handsaw.

You should probably contact the hospital and inform them, i'm sure there's a way you could work it out. It may be costly, though.

Good luck mate! I got surgery last week. They removed my gallbladder. I had a lot of colics before surgery which are very very very painfull. I'm from Holland so i don't know the insurance part, but i saw this topic title and had to wish you strength! It's no fun at all!

healthtap.com is a good place for this stuff. I also think that this is something with the hospital and your doctor. you might get charged but i dont blame you for being nervous i would be afraid too. i had to have something done along time ago for an emergency for something that an adult would have to go through but i came out alright.

guilty of that i am lol
