Did you buy your copy of Windows? These are the exact symptoms for using a pirated version of Windows.

How old is the PC? If it isn't that old, bring it back. It can be any number of things. CCleaner comes with no warranty whatsoever, that you accept whenever you download or use their software.

Looks like Explorer.exe either didn't fire up or is possibly corrupt in some way.  If it's running, you can check in the task manager under processes, then highlight it and click the end process button at the bottom, if it's not then just do the next part.  Now click on File at the top, choose New Task ( Run ) and type in explorer.exe.  Hopefully it will fire up Explorer and you'll have everything back.

You still have an issue, I would suggest going back to a previous restore point and see if it persists.  If so a repair or reinstall of the OS may be needed.

You can't be serious!?

Maybe try if it works in safemode? I would contact Microsoft when there support line is back up I guess. Other than that, like previously mentioned, try to return the pc.

Or maybe take it to your local pc repair shop?

I did the same thing with CCleaner.  Had to reinstall Windows.  Sucked, but had most of my files backed up luckily.

I tried to restore via windows and CClearner, no joy!

Good luck!

That sounds like a driver issue. Boot into safemode and if it works, re download and install all your drivers again. Bootup and it should be fixed :)

Yea I would try this ^ first.  Cleaner went to town and most likely goof'd a few things up that were needed.
