most virus protectors have a whitelist, which is a list of programs it ignores and wont bother. You need to figure a way to add lcpdfr to that list. What is the name if the anti virus program you use?

Norton Security suite, but Im able to restore it should I just install it and then restore LCPDFR so it allows me to run it?

I use norton and had the same thing happen, you could add it to the white list. Or if you want to install it without it ever coming up as infected there's 2 Auto installers. The one marked as alternative is the one to use, I remember reading that they're actually different I think on has ADs and the other doesn't and that's what causes the false alarm.. Or do a manual install there's plenty of documentation.

I can't say under oath that I know it's  100% legit, I've ran several scans since and nothings showed up. The mod has an acctive and passionate community so I decided to gamble with it and just see what happens. The thing is a trojan logs all your info and sends it to people so you wouldn't immediately notice your computer acting weird like a virus as it has a different purpose. So at the end of the day that's for you to decide. I have multiple computers, one that's used for personal stuff/finances and I'd never allow foreign programs onto. Then there's my day-to-day computer that I'm a little less thorough with. At the end of the day only you can decide how cautious you want to be about security.

well there isnt much we can tell you pawley. its entirely up to you on whether you would like to install this or not. if you are NOT SURE what i would do is install a different virus protection and see if that says the same thing. again, there are thousands of us who are using this and i can't remember one single case where a computer was infected by the lcpdfr mod.

the last bit of advice we can offer on that is to read this link here from last month where another member had the same issue. read this link and hopefully it will help with your decision. best of luck :)

As mentioned before, some antivirus programs seem to have issues with LCPDFR for no reason. It is safe to just ignore the warnings.

Now it auto-blocks it, and removes all inside folders... Anyone have Norton and know how to whitelist it or something?
