Police Critic learns Use of Force

Featured Replies

Fox 10 Phoenix has an excellent segment in which they took two people, one Police Critic of the Use of Force on minorities and another, just an ordinary TV anchorman, and put them both through 3 scenarios in which they decide how to handle a situation Police encounter every day.

See for yourselves the outcome

RAW Scenario 1:

RAW Scenario 2:

RAW Scenario 3:

That sheriff deputy is ripped! He has some big ass arms lol

I wish more people would do these scenarios so they could "experience" what it takes to be in these situations everyday, whether it be scenarios like the video or a simulator. My explorer's post used my PD's training simulator and it really shows that split second that ends up and in life or death for you, or someone else.

This was really, really, really fulfilling to watch. It's amazing that when someone opposed to use of force is put into a police officers shoes, their opinion can change just like that.

Lesson for today? Comply with the police. Trying to be defiant, or even sometimes demonstrating your rights can get you shot. A police officer doesn't know what you have in your waistband, and they don't know what's going through your head. Police have every right to suspect that you may have a weapon or intend to cause harm if you are demonstrating violent or disorderly behavior.

In other words, common sense was revealed to those who couldn't see it.

More people need to experience these situations, or at least become exposed to this footage.

Too few understand the importance of Law Enforcement officials and the risks they take everyday to keep us safe. A lack of common sense also contributes to this lack of understanding.
