What exactly are we rating? The production quality of the music video? The likability of the song? Etc? You'll have to give us a bit more information otherwise this thread won't go anywhere. Does the video have to be official or can it be fan made? Because if it can be fan-made I have some awesome AMVs.

if you like it or not if you dont give a rating of 5 or below if its decent give it a 6 or 7 if its good 8, 9 and 10

That still doesn't really answer my questions but whatever.

 

Although I didn't understand a word of it, the video gave me a good enough idea as to what was going on so based on that I'll give it a 7. I don't particularly like K-pop and it's certainly not something I'd listen to regularly but the video was well made and the lead singer had a nice voice. 

 

Assuming these can be fan-made too, I'm going to post my favourite AMV.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. The lyrics in the song you posted consisted of nothing but the "N" word over and over, how anyone can find that enjoyable I do not know. 

 

While the song in the video I posted was mostly meaningless lyrical wise, the video itself was very well edited and worked with the song. I based my rating of Takao's video on both the video and the song and although not specified by the OP, I expected you to do the same. Rating a video a "0/10" simply because it doesn't cover typical rap genres that you may or may not like is extremely unfair in my opinion.

I rated the video 0/10 because I just simply cannot stand any form of anime. It makes me go on the verge of insanity, personally.

By the way, quite a few Americans find music like that enjoyable. More specifically Black Americans. I'm Black and I think it's horrible.

Insanity? That's a curious word to use. It's a five minute video, I'm not asking you to watch an entire series. If you can't handle five minutes there is clearly something wrong with your ability to appreciate content from cultures other than your own. I find that quite sad, really.

Or I just think it sounds like complete goofy and utter shit, to be a bit more clear here. It's hard for me to appreciate something that gives me a headache and makes me want to jump out a window. It's cool if you find it sad, I'm not intending to impress strangers over the Internet.

You've either never watched an anime series and are basing your opinion on stereotypes or you've only watched one series and are assuming each series is exactly the same. I hope you understand that this is not true at all and that there is virtually something for everyone. I chose that particular AMV because it's violent, dark and has quite a bit of gore and I knew people would prefer it to the cutesy stuff that I tend to watch. 

 

Yes, anime can be quite wacky at times however as I said above, not every series is the same. There's plenty of realistic, gripping, dramatic and dark series out there too.

 

Clearly you've already gone insane, as a mentally stable person wouldn't commit suicide over something as minor as an art style. I suggest seeing a psychologist immediately if you're thinking of ending your own life.

It was a figure of speech. As in the music was so terrible that I'd rather die than listen to it.

I'd rather listen to something in English that doesn't appear to revolve around a perfect world. Last time I watched an anime, I was set up to watch Hentai.

The previous song (Turn Around) gets an 8/10.  It's a timeless tune and you can't help but to reflect while listening to it.

So we're no longer rating music right?

Since we're on the subject of anime, I actually like a good bit of it. I think allot of it comes down to the fact I like an actual plot with my TV and it seems like everything on TV now a days is reality or if it's got any real depth to it, it doesn't last more than a season.

I wouldn't consider the stuff I watch joyful or filled with color.

This is the problem. One bad experience and you never want to watch it again, this can be said about just about everything though.

 

As I've said above multiple times, not every anime is like that. Psycho-Pass, for example, is very dark in terms of themes. Half the show consists of watching innocent people being killed by whack-jobs. No happy, joyful, colour filled happiness there... unless you're into watching people being cut up and displayed in public. Personally I don't think it's fair to categorize everything like that. Just because one series is bad doesn't mean they all are. 

 

Look, I don't care that you don't want to watch anime and that's fine, I'm not telling you to watch it, I just don't like when people bash the entire genre based on one bad experience.
