Before rushing to answer, think about it for a minute.

It seems to me that as much as we try to ignore the still-living racism in America it's still there and probably will be for decades to come. Same goes for sexism, sexuality and the other controversial topics in our country. I think because of stigmas that were created decades ago that have passed down through generations we've created a country of individuals who are now living in a society that was botched together with no real guidance. It's become a common courtesy to avoid racism where it should be something that doesn't even cross one's mind if we were all truly seen as equal. I hope that one day people will realize that everyone IS created equally. We're all born as small humans from a mother and a father in some capacity. The things that make us unique are the choices we make after we're created, those are the qualities that define us; our morals, values and outlooks on life create our personality and heavily impact the decisions we make as well as the way one is raised of course. 

 

That's my two cents, and I don't mean to offend anyone or start a flame war. I sincerely apologize if I offend anyone with this and I'll be more than happy to justify my reasoning if that's the case.

No, everyday there is someone out there who is being discriminated against wether it be their race, sexual orientation etc. Also this question is really broad, as being equal can be all types of things, therefore being defined differently. I think it should be noted that if anyone is mistreated unequally, something should be done about so that way it can be prevented in the future.

The human race has solved so many problems, but yet created more.

This depends entirely on two things: How equal is defined and whether you mean in practice or in theory. 

I think no one is Equal, everyone and everything is different.

In some cases yes, but in others no. Some people are born with physical or mental disabilities, while others are born into financially insecure families and thus have significantly less opportunities in life rather than the more financially stable people of the world. Some are even limited by their family. No one chooses the circumstance that they were born into.
