Slight problem..

Featured Replies

So I came across a problem with Georgiemoon's dev charger, it bounces like crazy in game and I have no idea what to do to fix it.. I read it needs the correct L1's? I have no idea what that means or if that is the cause of the problem or not.

Any suggestions/tips?

You know the L0's? The L1's are basically just copies of the L0's, so you can see that part from farther distances.  This shouldn't make the car bounce though, maybe you moved a dummy by accident. Try testing the car without any edits.

So do I just select all of the L1's as well in the hierarchy? I just installed it into the noose slot with no edits and it started bouncing everywhere.

Thanks for the help!

You do not select the L1's.

I didn't think so. What do I do to fix them then?

What on earth does that mean :/

It's an anti-GAD measure (one which many mods need imo). L1s aren't hard to figure out, they're just copies of L0s.

It's a little hard when it's your 5th day at modelling. Is there a tutorial for fixing this?

Removing LODs as a measure against GADs sounds like a bad idea if 99% of all modders can't do it properly either. L1s are NOT copies of L0s, that ruins the whole purpose of LODs.

Read this thread, it explains why you need LODs: http://forum.zmodeler2.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=5577

Issues with bouncing models are often caused by incorrect wft or chassis dummies. It also happens if you export a model using a different name as your .wft dummy has, a very common mistake for beginners. Incorrect or missing LODs won't cause it. It's also possible that the unlocked model is buggy itself, fixing it would probably take more time then.

Thanks a lot Cj!
