You are aware that this and the MH370 incident occurred in different countries, right? The whole of Asia isn't governed by a single parliament.   The fact you'd laugh at innocent people being kille

  • If they check it there gone. *Que alone music*

I keep telling all these world leaders and rescuers to check the  Bermuda Triangle.....

lol yeah, but what happened to them then?

As no plane wrecks have been found, they couldn't have crashed..

Planes sink, and the ocean is big. Just sayin'.

I think that someone actually has taken over the planes mid-air, and transported them to a hiding spot.

Just my own theory, not sure if this actually has happened.

Well, you would need a rather large runway to land an A320, so if they are in a "hiding spot", not very stealthy on their part.

Ok, so it seems nobody actually cares about researching the topic and reading up on facts (either that or they are just ignoring them). There were very heavy storms reported in that area when the aircraft disappeared and it appeared that the aircraft was trying to climb to a higher altitude and change course to avoid flying through these severe storms. I believe that whatever happened it was related to these storms whether something caused the aircraft to break up or maybe it was pilot error that caused something such as a stall while they were attempting to climb over the storm. It has only been about 24 hours since the incident so little facts are known, no need to come up with the crazy conspiracy theories yet.

3 plane to go missing this year... I honestly have no idea how a commercial plane just go missing/vanish.. they still haven't found the Malaysian Airlines plane that went missing a few months ago. both Asia and Malaysia need to get their shit together.. because clearly they have no idea how to operate an airline.

This is why i don't fly on planes.. and because planes are messing with gravity, and gravity is a heartless bitch.

Those statements just prove how little you know about aviation.

Apparently some of your comments clear show you don't really give a shit about the topic.

Back on Topic. The Republic of Singapore Navy has dispatched two vessels, the RSS Supreme and RSS Valor, to assist in the search. Both vessels left Singapore at 11.59pm local time last night. The RSAF has also dispatched one C-130 to assist. 16 family and friends of those on board has opted to fly to Surabaya.

Latest news reports also say that Australia is joining in the search and locate mission. Currently the mission is led by Indonesia, with Singapore and Malaysia assisting.

EDIT:

Further update.

Australia has since deployed a P3 Orion SAR aircraft to assist.

France are sending two air investigation authors officials and two Airbus experts to Jakarta.

South Korea is going to send a surveillance aircraft to aid in the search.

You'd think they would of fitted these planes with GPS tracking devices by now because it's quite clear that the current radar systems and transponders are not enough.

Considering the conditions the aircraft was flying in, there is no doubt in my mind that it's crashed. The question is though, did it crash because of mechanical fault, pilot error, or the weather itself?

Most aircraft do have tracking devices in case of emergencies. Aircraft have Emergency Locator Transmitters (ELTs) on board and commercial aircraft have blackboxes that also have ways of transmitting their locations (though the blackbox might not be in the same place as the rest of the aircraft). Even aircraft that do have GPS tracking aren't immune to "disappearing". GPS relies on satellites and if you are flying through severe weather like the Air Asia flight was you might lose communication with the satellite. No matter what we do there will always be something we can't account for.

It's an update that is upsetting for me to do.

Indonesia Search and Rescue units along with Indonesian Navy have began recovering bodies spotted floating at sea and debris.

Officials are 95% sure that the debris are of the aircraft.

However they have not officially confirmed the aircraft crashed. But it seems clear to me that the aircraft has crashed.

EDIT:

Latest update.

It's now 100% confirmed at AirAsia Flight QZ8501 from Surabaya to Singapore has crashed into the Java Sea.

An Indonesia Navy ship, KRI Bung Tomo finds 6 bodies, retrieves 3, trying to retrieve others.

AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandez send condolences to families of those on board.

Divers are hoping to explore a large potential object found in the water, thought to be a part of the plane. The hunt for the black box is also underway.

One of the leading ideas right now is that the pilot stalled the jet when climbing too quickly to escape a storm. However, there's no direct evidence yet since the black box has not been found yet.

I'm willing to bet this is the cause; it has happened before.
