Me and three of my friends are suddenly unable to play online with social club "Social club unavailable, try again"

I am getting this error as well, it wouldn't be Social Club shutting down, because they would have made an announcement about it. It's probably just temporary, I would try playing later.

I play in offline mode anyway, so even if it is, it wouldn't affect me.

Yeah, as said above it does that from time to time. Sometimes I just think it is my PC playing tricks on me. Seems to be a little unstable. 

SC is pretty unstable. Atleast three times a month they're down for me.

But there is a shitload of people trying to use their server all the time, so that is *probably* the cause.

One thing that sometimes helps you sneak past this is removing Paul.dll from IV directory. Back it up first, though.

I'm unsure, but it's linked to RGSC. Removing it will bypass the GTA IV launcher and in most cases log you in automatically. Everytime I've been unable to get in, I've deleted it and as it bypassed the launcer, I managed to play online ect.
