Instead of wasting trillions on the F-35 why not fund the F-15 Silent Eagle!

Although I've only talked to about 5 pilots, but they've all said the f-35 handles better than anything else. They've described it as a Harley v Ducati

Cause this isn't Star Wars.

No its not about that, its just in general why aren't we funding this.

For one, the roles of the F35 and F15 and Silent Eagle are very different The F15 is a large Air Superiority fighter mainly designed for fighter to fighter combat. The F35 is versatile, maneuverable, and able to be launched off aircraft carriers. The F15 and the Silent Eagle simply cannot do any of those. You couldn't just stop producing the F35 in order to make way for Silent Eagles, you'd lose ever war you came into. Air superiority stealth fighters like pictured above are not the military's biggest purchases when it comes to aircraft, in fact it's one of the smallest. War has changed. 

 

Second, the F22 is a nice plane even though they stopped making them early on.

Also, it's really a shame, I loved the F-22, it looks sexy (Like the Tomcat)
