How Can I become a moderator like NbVideoGameVids

  • It's not really that relevant any more I guess, but when PPM was still alive, it was just a little humour seeing as the moderator on their site said that the mod was supposed to be realistic, yet you

on a daily bases what is it like to be a creator of lcpdfr? what are the chalanges? what is your day like?

It's pretty damn cool being the creator of the mod, but it hasn't really changed much as far as my day goes. Generally I try to work on something every few days, and sometimes it means a coding marathon until 6am.

"You tell me exactly what you want, and I will very carefully explain to you why it cannot be."

My Q- Could you please answer my other Q just on page 2?

Another Q. Does your site need a chat? I have a IRC server that you can host a channel on for free. Mod options, auto bot banning/kicking, support etc.. :D Also a code to embed the chat on a page or topic. Interested?

If we ever wanted something like this, we have our own dedicated server which we could put it on.

Turtles... Do you like them?

Question two: What Programming languages do you know, and if you were approached by a Gaming company to program a game.. what game type would you want to program?

I'm not the best programmer in the world, I'm pretty sure that Jay and LMS will agree with that. I know VB.net, and I started working with C# around 6 months ago. As far as the web goes, I am fairly competent in HTML and CSS, and I do the theme edits and such for our site. I'm also pretty competent with Pawn (the horrible backwards piece of shit language that it is), and have scripted for someSA-MP servers with it (most notably GPM's FCRP v3).

I really, really wouldn't want to code a game, but if I knew how to, I would definitely go for an open world game.

How do you become a community member or apart of the testing team?

It's probably my highest priority as far as running the site goes, and is one one of the things that I really do pride myself on - maintaining a friendly, approachable and professional staff team. I think it is one of the things that we have gotten absolutely right on the site, and I think that it is what makes this community so special - there is no barrier or anything between our staff and our members, we all just get along and have a good time. As such, I keep the staff team completely invite only, and only make changes to it when necessary.

I agree, you have maed that awesome and I love all staff (especially you <3) because I would not have a life without LCPDFR xD

You never did answer about Turtles..

2 years ago, I saw you post a screenshot of a hostage situation in the GTAforums topic. What ever happened to these?

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.

What further action do you believe is necessary to reduce the amount of repetitive threads in the Support forum?

The internet being an odd place spawns all sorts of odd social behaviour. I am sure by now you will have experienced internet "fan behaviour".

Being a fan of LCPDFR is one thing. I concider myself a fan. But there are people who seem to latch onto a single person and in effect exibit stalker like behaviour. Taking respect and admiration to a level that becomes uncomfortable.

Have you ever experienced this, and had someone become almost an online stalker ? If so does it happen a lot, and what action do you end up taking to discourage such fans. Or does it not bother you.

PS: I'm not talking about excited people going a bit too far who don't cause any harm. I am talking about people becoming a serious problem or annoyance who end up with a "Sam" fixation :) And become an online stalker causing issues :)

I could prob' ask the same question of NB who has a high online profile.

I have absolutely no problems of this nature whatsoever.

I've posted my answer to that question in my questions thread.
