[Resolved] Skyrim.... Is it worth it?

Featured Replies

Hey all,

I hear people raving about Skyrim non-stop on Facebook, on Steam, at school, everywhere. I checked the price, it's $60. There are plenty of games and other things I could buy with $60. My question is, do you guys feel it is worth it to buy Skyrim? I could use a new game to play, and it piqued my interest. Don't suppose anyone here already owns the game and could give me a first hand account of the gameplay? I only have one or two friends that own it so I would like a little more feedback from everyone else before I buy it (since I was thinking about spending the 60 dollars or so on some things for my car). Any thoughts, yea or nay?

Edit: So I decided to buy the game! Thanks for your feedback guys.

I have to admit, usually with non-MP games I can sometimes go the way of 'borrowing'. But Skyrim is awesome, well worth the Steam purchase.

Has a HUGE modding community as well. (Skyrim Nexus is a good site for mods)

It's a bit slow on the uptake and needs a lot of time, though.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback. I'm used to giving games the time they need, definitely leaning towards buying this.

Skyrim is definitely worth it, especially the PC version with all of the mods, that will keep coming for years, there is still new Fallout 3 mods coming out.

I've heard a little about the mods but not much. I'll have to look into those a little. Thanks.

One of the best games I've ever played. Each Elder Scrolls game is better than the last, I feel.
