Hi, I'm using LCPD:FR 0.95 RC1 on GTA IV 1.0.7.0, so here is my problem: When I press alt+p everything starts up as normal, then I go to a police station, and go on duty, changing my character..

But then, when I get out of the police station, my character just freezes in the checkpoint outside the station, and I can't choose a vehicle or actually make my character move.

Then I checked with G17 Media IV diagnostics tool, and it said that I don't have an ASI Loader, although I have both dsound.dll and xliveless. And scripthook.

Please help!

By the way, what is that "GetPhoneNumber" thing all about in the log?

delete either xliveless or dsound. You're only supposed to have ONE, otherwise they can interfere with eachother.

Everyone gets that. No need to worry about it. It doesn't affect your gameplay.

I have no idea but at a guess it could be something to do with the testers build to check they are entitled to recieved nightly build version or something like that. Like I said thats a pure guess though.

It's something to do with Windows 7, and it really doesn't matter.

Just make sure you have 1 or the other. With newer versions of GTA4, ive seen more dsound than xlive. But only one. If you have to, reinstall and start from fresh. Its never a bad idea to backup your GTA Directory just incase this kinda thing happens!

Having two dll's that are trying to load the same ASI would defiantly have allot to do with this problem I am guessing, Make sure if you are to use either (dsound.dll or xlive.dll, ONE not both!), You REMOVE the old versions of either ASI loader and use one of the included loaders that are in the installer of LCPD:FR for maximum compatibility :)
