The Wasteland - callouts for Bohan

You can easily check if they still workin': use "twguide list" command to see a detailed list of callouts, then use "startcallout [name]" to get a call. Remember about time restrictions (you can check that too on the list). I hope you modified your LCPDFR.ini, as I suggested in the readme file.

  • ---   That aside, it's great to see this mod released to much critical acclaim. You've done some great work here, LtFlash, and I cannot commend your efforts enough. :)

  • The mod has reached 10,000 downloads. Thank you!

  • I think this is just the kind of work Robocop needs in Liberty City. Great work!

The Wasteland 0.7.0

  • MuggVic: a complainant is now following a player,
  • EMSAssist: you can now beat the suspect to make him comply, paramedics will react on basis of his willing to fight,
  • GangAssault: new spawn points,
  • CarFire: lowered chance to explode,
  • ElBums: the reported bug is fixed,
  • minor refinements,
  • two new calls.

Don't know if this was mentioned earlier, but in the previous build if I attacked the perp right next to the paramedics, they would turn against me. Same applied if I striked one of them by an accident.

@ maj. stevie shae: there's no reported bugs since 0.7.0 release except of some issues with GangAssault, which was considered from the beginning as kinda unbalanced and will be replaced probably. You got to remember that in case of any problems or malfunction you can just press [End] to finish the call. Everything is protected from fatal exceptions so the mod shouldn't crash your game.

@ Olanov: That shouldn't be a problem now - this call it's pretty complicated inside and it took time before I could work out a good way to make it realistic. Now you can beat the suspect to force him to comply, paramedics don't fight when the perp stops attacking them.

Also, please report me such bugs and doubts because I didn't encounter any of already reported issues. Without your help I can't make improvements and bugfixing.

Hi LtFlash,

This is by far my favourite set of callouts and I do look forward to more and potentially other Burroughs. If there's one thing I would love to see implemented is the use of the policescanner audio files to hear the dispatcher.

Just wanted to highlight an error with you that I continuously received with one particular call out. The man unconscious callout works right up until I press F12 for ambulance. Then I get this error -

[ERROR - 4:11:06 PM] [script.CalloutManager] Error while processing callout: ManDown: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.   at dh.a(VehicleSeat A_0, CModel A_1)

Not sure if its the script or something to do with my game. Once I received this error LCPDFR tends to crash shortly after. Regardless, still a great mod.

Thanks for the heads up.

This has literally made LCPDFR worthwhile for me. :)

@Murphy909

I'm glad I gained your recognition!

LMS made some changes to API functions so I'll be able to use an idea of making some custom voiceovers as soon as new version of LCPDFR will be released.

About that error:

 - do you use any ambulance mod? If yes - try to use a vanilla model and report back. It looks like a ped can't be created on a vehicle seat.

@Olanov  :thumbsup:

Every other call works flawlessly for me so far. No crashes with it either!!! But the unconscious man call continues to give me the "LCPDFR has encountered an unexpected error". I'm not sure what is causing this, so for the moment it's the only call I avoid. Thank you for such fantastic work with this though!!!!!!!!

Developer diary

  • *.ini file will let you set up keys, turn off any call, configure time dependency of calls, set some additional parameters - feature is implemented,
  • the mod will have it's own random radio chatter based on real recordings, modern as well as old ones - on stage of collecting samples,
  • "ManDown" call is fixed.

The new version will be published after all necessary tests.

  didn't want to post here until the file is accepted. I'm waiting for some feedback, as always.

What's New in Version 0.7.5
  • custom radio chatter which uses real recordings of NYPD radio traffic,
  • a configuration file which let you to personalize the mod,
  • debugged "unconscious man" call,
  • debugged animation of a suspect in "drug selling" call,
  • minor refinements.

Update the first post as well, if ya please. Oh, and I would love to test this but I am kinda busy with work right now.

not sure why, but I am always getting something like "an exception has been handled properly, a resource does not exist". I get this all the time, such as after talking to a mugged complaint or receiving a gang related assault call.
