Obama and Russia

So I'm guessing we're not allies with Brazil or other Latin America countries.

We're supposedly "allied" with Mexico, but I don't see them as friends. They're pretty careless about the mass amount of people illegally entering the United States through their borders.  There's an electric fence separating the United States and Mexico. There is nothing separating the United States and Canada.

Also, why would any Latin or South American countries get involved in a war between the United States and Russia? I'd think that they're far enough to remain neutral and unharmed.

  • The US has about twice the population fit for military service that Russia has. Russia does *not* have a large population - it has only half the population of the US, with a dip at the teenage years (

  • Japan also doesn't have that big a defense industry. Nor do they have a very large military, and the US provides a substantial amount of Japan's security.   Well, by definition underestimating someon

Source? The US active-duty military is larger than Russia's; the reserve is smaller, so Russia has more total troops, *but* Russia has conscription and the US does not, and the US has far more room to expand the military.

I'd be shot and killed if I told you for treason...

Lol but actually there are classified documents that measures the force of the world's armies done by the various intelligence sectors of the US's gov't and military. There are sites that you can Google and that info will come up. Some is accurate, and some are sketchy at best.

But from what I do, they brief us on that info once a month.

Edit: conscription is what I had going on in my mind when I brought up manpower. The US will only expand our military when we get a government and president that deem national defense important enough to stop cutting the freaking budget every year.

Please don't get it twisted. Don't mistake Obama or any actions from him, deemed weak or not perceived as being strong, with America's second to NONE military might. America is not the lone Super power of the world because of economics alone. Let's not put the cart before the horse here. Though I agree that America should not intervene in every issue around the globe, I do believe that sheer chaos such as the times of Hitler would have been/ and undoubtedly be happening now, in EVERY county without the checks and balances in place to hold accountable recklessness to the human race. Most counties do not have to worry about what America's leader will or will not do, because the American people would deal with him/her at the right time to correct any folly brought on from them. Now there are other things to consider along with this topic, but I digress.

USSR successfully defeated itself

The USSR did not "defeat" itself. The group disbanded mainly because they learn their lessons in '80s which the British had learnt in the '20s. That is, maintaining such big leagues and empires cost currency. Most of the abandoned Russian projects and initiatives today are known to be abandoned for one sole reason- they were 'big' and hence their upkeep was costing money.

Didn't get your point. What is 'the group'? Who are 'they'? What is the lesson? From what you've said it seems like soviet leaders peacefully agreed upon dissolving ussr just because they didn't have enough funds.

You lost me. Belarus, Ukraine and Russia were the last nations of the USSR who had a secret meeting which concluded that they would officially dissolve the USSR. You have read it, right?

Since you've read so much about our history you should know that at that point those agreements were merely formal.
