If anyone on Steam tries to offer you TF2/CS:GO items and says that "he needs you to add him to his main account" and links you to a steam community website, DO NOT GO ON THAT WEBSITE!

It will direct you to a fake site called steamcomrnunrity.com and make you 'validate' your account by downloading Steam Validator.exe. This is a trojan horse. If you clicked on the .exe, or if you entered a password or username for your steam account,

Change your Steam e-mail adress

Change your Steam username

Remove your credit card/billing info

Scan your computer

My friend was offered rare TF2 items and he was linked to the website stated above so he could add an australian user.

He downloaded Steam Validator.exe and asked me if it was a virus or not, as reckless as I am I opened the file. So I basically took a bullet for him.

Just wanted to get that out there, be careful.

Thanks for the heads up! Although i don't play either CS:GO or TF2.

Also, just to add to the OP's topic. if you need anything for a Steam game, whether it be trading cards, profile backgrounds or in game items.. always go to the Community Market. that way you're not being scammed and or being a victim to a virus.

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me
