NEW COPS Episode LIVE on SPIKE TV

Featured Replies

I saw I think 3 episodes of the brand new ones with the Explorers & Taurus', then after that they keep jumping from like 2010 back down to the 90's, it's annoying.

It takes a long time to get interesting footage. People want action, they're not going to sit there and watch an officer file reports for half an hour.

It really doesnt seem it. I live in a small town and my local pd responds to domestic disputes all the time, even yesterday I saw an explorer and a cvpi at what looked to be a domestic dispute, some crazy lady was screaming, crying and shit. That seems to be what happens in most scenes of COPS. Also, not that this is very relevant but my house is on a hill, There was cruisers lined up from the bottom to the top of the hill, there was like a robbery or something - There was K9's, and cops with AR'. Obviously they arent gonna watch an officer file reports, because they dont record that. It goes scene to scene. I do realize that cops dont get calls every 5 minutes though.

Ugh, last time I watched COPS it had that god awful stock police radio sound effect.

I don't know about everyone else but I'd rather listen to silence.

Well not anymore. You missed it buddy.

My meaning of live refers to a television production broadcast in real-time, as the event(s) happen, in the present. Cops is just the opposite of that, recorded months, sometimes years prior to airing and (immensely) edited, before it aired on tv -- in this case on spike.

I meant that it was live on television, not live in real-time. Common sense should tell anyone that COPS isn't actually happening as we see it on TV. I thought that anyone who would have viewed this topic, would have understood that. Guess I'll just have to be more specific next time.
