My Game crashed a few times every 10 minutes before i've got the solution from User OfficeBurningBowl:

 

Do:

 

You need to turn the AI_SP = On to OFF

Same for AI_MP = On to OFF

Its in the els8 ELS.ini

A lot of people are having this problem.

 

... and your game will run very very good - no crashes!!!! :)

It's not a fix for everyone. Just the users who's games are crashing on startup, loading saved games, or instant crashes when using els8.

Use the above as a last resort solution. A lot of people like to have AI ELS active for the added realism. So if you can have AI ELS on with no crashes, then keep them on. If you don't use multiplayer (like me), or use xlivess then turn AI_MP off anyway seeing as you don't go online.

Where is ELS.ini? I cant seem to find it

It's in the main directory. Open the .ini and follow the instructions.

are there any other solutions? I want the AI to use ELS, and following some very painful testing I can tell ELS is the source of my misery right now. It used to work, i can't remember whether it was version 8.5 or a previous version. Essentially yesterday I installed all the mods and I had no crashes until I finally installed ELS.

+1 for this! I was having trouble with AI cop cars not despawning after pursuits, etc. This helped!

I have issue with "visualSettings" file. it's inside of common-data. 

every time after I replace this file when I play LCPDFR it take forever loading into police station, and texture start missing, cannot spawn any police cars after exit station. 

After replace old one anything fine, but this file does make lights better but I can't use it. 

My game will only load in the background or not at all when i change it and even when i just put it in please help

My question is, why do they put the option there if using it crashes the game?, why does AI using ELS crashes the game?

Ok it work but how to play with ELS on AI ? Is possible ? I have tested and nothing my game crashing before spawn
