TBOGT or GTA IV

Featured Replies

So I have only played Lcpdfr in gta iv and have never played any of the episodes of liberty city. Does any one recommend trying lcpdfr in these or stick to normal Gta? If so what are the main benefits?

Let the good times roll

Here are my OPINIONS. Remember i am stating my OPINIONS.

Grand Theft Auto IV
Pros - Very stable, Easier to mod, long game play times,(45-80 Mins Of Gameplay)
Cons - Low FPS, poorly ported.

Episodes From Liberty City
Pros - Higher FPS, Better Port, All islands unlocked at start of the game.
Cons - Harder to mod, Constant Crashing(10-20 Mins of Gameplay)

EFLC in opinion which I just started using especially with all my V port mods with a big set of V cars and its much more stable then when I was running it on IV.

GTA IV-

Pros: Easier to mod (Yes), Mod (Yes), The last is a (Rare)

Cons: Low FPS (Not really for me), Ported badly (OH YES)

EFLC-

Pros: Higher FPS (Feels the same as IV), Better port (Yes), Islands unlocked (Don't care because I have them unlocked already on IV if I use trainer and save game)

Cons: Hard to mod (Yes but can convert mods to EFLC version if good with keeping track of files) Constant Crashing (Not in opinion as I recorded a couple of 30 mins videos as one is out now) (P.S. did at once had this crashing but was when 1.0a was out)

DISCLAIMER: Not fussing with anyone's opinion as I am just comparing mine to XPZK's opinion as I respect his opinion as long as he respects mine.

Why is EFLC hard to mod?  Not understanding what you mean by this.  Anything that works for GTAIV will work for EFLC...at least all the mods I've tried.  Unless you mean the developer side of things, which still would seem the same difficulty level of IV.

In all truth, it's the same to mod GTAIV and EFLC...again I have both, played both and modded both, still prefer EFLC.  There is no difference in modding either game except the path of the root folder.

The only reason to use GTAIV would be that more interiors are unlocked, no other benefit I can think of or read here.

If you don't enjoy smoother frames, less crashing, and more police car slots and a police bike slot, then go with GTAIV.

Good luck!
