As stated on the description of the download page: "If the script stop responding (pressing keys but nothing happens, etc.): restart your game: this issue is caused because the script can not spawn the requested object / ped / vehicle ; Also: if this problem happens a lot: try not to use the equipments ;".

Try and walk around, before starting the mod to load the environment, then when choosing a station, wait for the environment to load before you change the current station / press enter.

 

 

Obviously some people have issues with the south station, and others don't. So what I suggest is you use the station selection menu ( C ), then choose the north station (don't try to be fast: let the game load the environment), then choose your company, wait a few seconds after you've spawned before doing anything.

 

 

Make sure you have Scripthookdotnet (link is in the user manual).

Doesn't seem to want to work for me. Everytime I load the game, it either:

 

A.) Fully crashes, and gives me "GTA IV has stopped responding"

 

B.) Says "Error in script A.B" and then crashes.

 

When it DOESNT crash, I reload scripts, and it keeps erroring out.

The videos look really awesome and it looks like you really out a lot of effort into this. However, I do understand that this was released just this morning, but it is unplayable for me. 

 

Every time that I start the script, I select a hospital and that is all the farther I can get. Whenever it is done loading an I am a paramedic, I can't get into an ambulance because when I press F to get into an ambulance, I get "Error in script A.B." even when I changed the enter vehicle key. It does the same for the fire trucks.

 

I tried driving to the firehouse/hospital as opposed to just fast spawning, this time my screen flashes between normal and all black. While this is happening, ambulances are just spawning over and over and over again. I have to force stop the game because I can't pause it.

 

I've restarted the game and I've aborted and reloaded scripts too, but nothing works. This looks like a very good mod, but I understand that it was just released, so there will be bugs.

For all of you who are experiencing issues:

1) leave the safehouse, and go out, on the street ;

2) wait for the environment to load (make sure all textures have loaded, etc.)

3) use the station selection menu ( C to be a firefighter, and M to be a paramedic);

4) select the north station, and any company you want ;

5) wait a few seconds before touching anything, and you should be good to go !

I updated the script, download the new version ("FireFighter mod by gangrenn 0.5a_HOTFIX1").

Good news: The latest version I uploaded, seems to be working, according to different friends who tried the mod ! let me know, if it works for you too !

 EDIT : What is that orange stick ?

It's a stokes basket or basket stretcher, The fire department and search and rescue use them.

Also, looks good but i have a few questions for you, will you be able to change the stretcher at some point to a stryker(preferably a stryker power pro) and will you add a back board?

Nope. The old one worked, after like 5 million tries, this one just keep crashing everytime.

I have the latest scripthook. I start my game and press f, then i press c, i choose my station and hit enter, it keeps loading and does not stop, i have restarted the game and my pc 10 times.

2) try to play as a paramedic ( M key), it should work !

 

Everyone I know, says the mod works fine (it also works fine on my computer), so i don't really know where the problem is, but i'm looking for a solution: don't worry !

My game crashes everytime i call for EMS. It just says EMS are in route, and then my game crashes.

Hit ~ and type in reloadscripts then press enter. That always works for me. I believe you have to have LCPDFR though. You don't need LCPDFR to be running, but I believe you need to have it installed.

I LOVE this mod. I have experienced almost 0 problems, though I realize I might be in the small group that has it running perfectly. I have just a quick suggestion to make.....

As we all know, the AI paramedics are morons. So of course when I call for EMS, they get stuck in traffic and I'm forced to end the call there. I was just wondering if there's any way for you to code in an option to "Quick Spawn" the ambulance closer to the scene if they fail to show up. I remember having this option for the "Bomb Squad" in Wouter's Callouts.

Finally! I have almost no problems with the script. It's a great mod, hope you continue with this project.

I did get it working, even with a few run-ins with default GTA IV controls, like W to move D to move, and F to get in and out of vehicles. I just changed the buttons in-game. Still having issues with getting it to work smoothly, but that's because I don't know all of the features yet. It is much more stable and very cool! Great work gangrenn!
