gangrenn got a reaction from Seargent Boy.L in Policing around the world. (Update coming soon)I'm also curious to know why joining French police rather than your police force in Netherlands ? If you have any questions or need a real inside of what it's like to be a French police officer feel free to message me, i might change your mind lol. I'm a French firefighter and work with them all day.
I also spent some time as an emergency medical responder in Quebec, should someone have questions about that too.

gangrenn got a reaction from Candice in [3d Tutorial] Create a firetruck from scratch - 3ds maxHey,
I recently made a very detailed video tutorial showing each steps (unedited videos), on how to create a firetruck from scratch on 3ds max, that can later on be converted to gta.
Creating a vehicle from scratch is time consuming. The average time spent on making a very detailed model is about 30 - 40 hours. not only do you need to master 3d, but you also need to be very good at photoshop (or The Gimp) to create textures.
Here is what a finished model would looks like in GTA:

gangrenn got a reaction from LtFlash in What police/crime shows do you watch?a few awesome tv shows have not been mentionned, which surprised me so here it is:
-third watch (as mentionned a few posts above) : probably one of the best that mixed FD, PD and EMS.
-southland: if you like LAPD this is a great one ;
-rookie blue ;
-nightwatch aired on A&E: real life TV show where you can follow EMS, PD and FD during their shift, another great tv show which I really recommand people to watch ;
-Chicago PD
- "19-2" available both in english & french canada, another great tv show ;
- The chicago code ;
- boston's finest: real life TV show where you can follow boston PD officers ;

gangrenn got a reaction from Mitchin in [zmodeler3] Breakable glass and bullet shell impactthanks for the reply, I tried it but sadly it still won't work. I also tried working a different model (to make sure it wasn't because of that specific model), and still no luck.
If it matters: I'm working on the firetruck model.

gangrenn got a reaction from thegreathah in [zmodeler3] Breakable glass and bullet shell impactHey,
I'm trying to convert some of my gta4 models to GTA5, everything works great except 2 things:
-I can not see the bullet shell impact on my model (I tried shooting at the different parts: bodyshell, bumper_f, etc. but none would work);
-I can not break glass on it either
Can anyone come up with a solution ? "deformable" is already ticket, Id is set to 116, I'm using vanilla model collision (and made it fit my model), but still not working.
Thanks.

gangrenn got a reaction from OblongGaming in LSPDFR Australia Discussion ThreadAlright, enough with the PM spam, here is the NSW firetruk model, gta4 and gta5 version. everything is unlocked. note: the GTA5 model do not have working emergency lights, and may need a few edits, but it's unlocked so you can make those changes, other then that, it do works in-game. so now enough with all the private messages to get the model. do not release / reupload it anywhere else.

gangrenn got a reaction from wteoh1 in Truck drives through French Crowd on Bastille Day. 73 DeadI happen to live where it happened (and by that I don't mean the city, but the location of the attack), so I heard everything: shots fired, saw people running away in every directions, vehicles driving wrong way street to go away, it was total chaos, not mentioning the ambulances that kept going between the scene, and hospitals. It was somehow quiet, fireworks was very nice, and all the sudden, you hear people yelling, and all PD responding to the scene, as well as EMS, sirens were on all night.
TV crew was on scene fast, and interviewed a father, who was sitting next to his dead wife and baby bodies, there are also many videos on youtube showing the next minutes following the attack and all the bodies laying on the ground.
This morning, when I got out, all streets leading to the "promenade des anglais" are closed with cops on every single one of them, they left the truck and dead bodies until around noon, today. You can still see all the trash thrown by people in the panic, destroyed bench, and lamp poles.
Here is a video I recorded, people left flowers, one was singing.

gangrenn got a reaction fromDeactivated Memberin Vehicle Editing In BlenderWhat are you saying ? ...
You can make your model in blender or 3ds max, detach each part and name it correctly (P.S: bodyshell, chassis, bumper_f, etc.), texture your model, then export as .obj, that is step 1.
Then Step 2 is about importing the .obj into zmodeler, create the dummy nodes and place said dummy in correct position, you would also have to load .png textures and assign them in the materials that have been imported with the .stl file (so no need to rexture the model again).
So basically you can do everything in 3ds max / blender to make it zmodeler ready, then in zmodeler you'd just have to do some basic operations that would take up to a day or two.
