With what were/are you most dissapointed in GTA V?

 

I'm very dissapointed when it comes to the enterable buildings, not even a mall, I was expecting alot of malls like the one from Vice City. At first I couldn't believe there's only one strip club. Even IV has two. And why ist there no car wash outside LS?

 

And you don't really have anything to do after finishing all missions. I was expecting something similar to Red Dead Redmption with the bounty hunter missions (yes I know there are some but only 5 of them and you can't even replay them, in RDR they're infinitive) I was expecting some kind of improved Vigilante mode but there's none at all and all the side events are unique so they never appear again. I wonder why...

 

And what really bothers is all the blood over my uniform when I get hit, it should be like in RDR where the blood vanishes after like 10 seconds...

 

And shouldn't  there be at least any announcements about DLC's by now? Let's hope they focus on the singplayerm mode, GTA online is a dissappointment in general

what did you expect with an un modded game? you thought it was gonna stay fun after the missions? was IV Fun after the missions? I don't remember ever playing it on console after the missions. MAYBE some multiplayer, have you tried that?

Yea, I kinda of agree with your sentiments.  I haven;t turned it on since LCPDFR 1.0 came out.  Been playing LCPD and RDR lately.  

 

Not much to do after doing everything and hitting 100%.  I mean, what is there to do?  I go exploring, base jumps and downhill mountain biking, but not much going on after that.  I'm very surprised that R* didn't include things to do like in EFLC, RDR and such; like gambling, pool, going into a bar and drinking or fighting, darts, only one tit-bar, almost zero buildings to enter, watching peeps dance in the clubs and drinking (like EFLC).

 

I was thinking R* was going to have everything from the previous games that were implemented, and then adding more content.   You know, like building on top of all that other great stuff that was in the previous games and worked well, should have been in this one, as well as new and more things to do.  But the opposite is true, there is almost nothing from the other games seen in GTAV, and less content as well.

 

Online is kind of fun, but also very annoying at the same time.  The damn griefers suck.  That goes for most online crap like RDR.  Soon as I jumped online in RDR and travelling to Armadillo, some little punk kid with a girl voice because his balls haven't dropped yet, decides to grief my character...screw that nonesense.

 

Anyhow, yea...a let down at this point, in my opinion.

Already shared my two cents about GTA Online.

 

Anyway, in regards of single player, my greatest complaint is the lack of police patrolling. How could you screw up something like that? Then you make them drive the ugly, generic LSPD "police" interceptors which just doesn't make any sense. Or I guess it does since the police don't patrol at all anymore.

 

The AI police don't even chase you fair anymore, instead they speed boost into you like it's a game from 2004, every single time. They do it when chasing other AI's as well. The police also have a dead on accuracy which isn't that fun at all. I'd rather have long lasting rampages against the police.

 

The police officers themselves are fine if not great, except for the fact they're way too aggressive. They almost instantly bump a one star wanted level to two and kill you. Their aggressiveness reminds me of the police helicopters. Escaping them is bunch of bull. You take one down and on an instant there's one in the air hovering right next to you. They also seem to posess the ability to see through thick mountain tunnels.

 

I really dislike the handling, it's so arcadey it's not even fun. I loved being able to roll cars over but now they're just on rails. It's just a pain for me to drive with them. Rockstar doesn't even let you choose anymore whether you want to shut the car engine off or leave it on when you exit the vehicle. Why change something that was perfect in the first place?

 

That's all I can think of for now. All these things put aside it's alright. Oh yeah, nearly forgot. Female cops don't spawn outside of scripted police station spawn points.

I played a lot of GTA IV on the consoles after I beat the storyline. I think I've actually beaten it nine times too.

I'm disappointed that the AI's have to use 100% accuracy all the time, regardless of how far away they are from you and regardless of what they are doing (like driving a car at insane speeds or in a helicopter keeping the amazing aim).

 

I'm disappointed that during police chases, the police need to speed boost just to keep up with me and they abuse the shit out of it.  It's fucking annoying and the joy in it is lost fast when you need to constantly drive left and right just so the chase can be "normal".

 

I'm disappointed that the police do not patrol at all in the game, no cops walking around, no cars driving around, what is this shit.

 

There's way more in GTA Online, but I'm sure everyone already knows about those problems.

The accuracy of the police is almost unbearable.  I mean, you're in a boat going upstream, bouncing and getting jarred all over the place, the police in hot pursuit in helos, also bouncing all over the place.  The cops hit me with nearly every shot they make, in these conditions.  It just about kills the game, as it's so damn annoying and ridiculous.  The gun fights in GTAIV can be epic since the AI shoot far more realistically.  Bullets flying all around you while you're running...hitting walls and the ground around you, good shit.  

 

Yea, and the turbo boost the cop cars have are almost just as much a game play killer as well.

 

Why can't R* make a simple tweak to fix these two glaring issues that make the gun fights crap?  It can't take but an hour or two to fix these two things...I just don't get it.

I'm disappointed in how you can't skin animals like in RDR, and then sell your gatherings. 

 

I'm disappointed in how the Vapid Stanier Police Cruiser's sit and waste away in a parking lot, and how the Taurus is constantly on patrol. You'd think they would at least have them alternate like in GTA IV. In GTA IV, I believe one island would use Vapid's on one day, the next island would use Declasse, and the last island would use Vapids on one day, for example, and it would constantly change in a cycle. But in GTA V, there doesn't seem to be a pool for police vehicle spawning. This is very unrealistic, especially when including the fact that the majority of LAPD vehicles on patrol right now are CVPI's, isn't GTA V supposed to be a somewhat near recreation? 

I also wish we could actually leave our vehicles idling. I can't count how many times I've had to get somewhere quickly, and I wasted 3 seconds turning on the car. 

Other than that, they pretty much nailed it I think, especially the police vehicle lighting. I have to thank them for that, other than the LED Vapid Stainer only emitting reflections from the side, rather than a 360 degree radius like it should. 

There are a few police patrols but they're very rare.

 

And I mean the respond immediately so they might as well spot you committing a crime, what's the point of no more police officers on the street then?

 

And I totally agree, I love the LSPD CVPIs but the Ford Taurus is ugly as f*ck, I'd rather have only one type of LSPD car than that one.

 

Yes, no more messing around with the police.

 

I actually like the ramming, but like said, the speed boost sucks and even when you're drving at high speed police officers still manage to hit you

 

I did enjoy GTA IV a lot after beating the main story on PS3. I also liked the bowling activity. V has too less. GTA V has a lot of 'too less' actually.

AND as a proof that somebody at rockstar is taking drugs is that police badge on the buffalo. The guy who created that skin must have been drunk or even worst. It looks like: "Ohh **** look at that buffalo skin, it is sooooo boring. Let's add something rediculous"

Well, its a long list...

1. Barley no side-activities. What do we have now? Err... We can... Go to movies and play pool. Nothing more, really.

2. Bad police skins. Well, if there was more police cars, and better skins (I am talking about the buffalo and the Vapid Interceptor), it would be good.

3. Bad police AI. Self explaining. How can a officer headshot me with a glock 17 150 yrds away? 

4. Over aggressive police.

And alot more of things......

I have a few minor complains. But happily almost all of them could be fixed with a PC version. If there's gonna be a PC version atleast   .

Well yesterday i was doing the mission around 50% of the game were you "Franklin" has to got get Micheal from the Chinese people i believe that's what it was, but i did the mission driving away and the dam game froze :/:D i was like ^&^$%*^%#&#%^*#%^! ~ Srgt.Scales

I agree, I hate the badge. And it doesn't even look like a LSPD badge worn by officers.

 

I also miss the rambar from the GTA IV version.

Well, in GTA4, the vehicle transition is based on a timer, not island hoping.

 

Anyways, you know what's funny?  Ever been in Mission Row in GTA5?  The game randomly spawns cops driving around in different LSPD cars (2nd gen stanier, 3rd gen stanier (one that is always used), unmarked 2nd gen stanier, police transporter, police buffalo, and police bike), spawns them walking around, and spawns random scenarios that has a parked police car on the side of the road and two police officers talking to people.

 

So with this little "glitch" (which I use the term glitch very lightly), it shows that the game is suppose to be spawning all of the vehicles patrolling the streets of LS.  I just think Rockstar fucked it up, really badly.  They didn't fucking notice at all, apparently.

so far I agree that the GTA Online is really disappointing but it's still kinda fun because I have a Hugh roleplaying police clan but anyways I agree why the hell isn't the police patrolling on single player pretty stupid by rockstar part. but lets look at the bright side, they at least added tasers and finally added good ELS and good upgrade on police uniforms then IV so yeh, i think it wasn't a big disappointing.

I dont have a problem with Police officers not patrolling, afterall its LA. There is a huge difference when it comes to the number of units patrolling between LA and NY.

 

However my biggest grip with the game is the liveries and how inconsistent most of the agencies are, I mean the Sheriff Granger just goes out of place with the patrolling White Sheriff's car, also the LSPD uniforms.

 

Women have their badges rightly coloured after those of the LAPD, however their uniform is rather of a generic blue while males have the right colour that being navy blue but their badges are just silver.

 

Lately I've been exploring the ammount of detail that went into the game and i've gotta say its amazing, even a lot more than IV when you take your time to look at how dynamicly the world Works around me. However I still gotta agree that R* screwed up in some deps. like interiors, there are files for Burger shots and Clucking bells but I think they slashed those out for the 24/7s.

So, there aren't any cops in LA?  Only if you get in trouble do they magically pop up or something?  Is that what you are saying?  Because if not, you're wrong.

Only when GTAV comes to the PC will it be shined up and made perfect.  Right now a lot is left to be desired.

 

I'm much more impressed with IV (EFLC + LCPDFR) than V at this point.  Granted, after it's all modded up and all that.  Still, it seemed to me that IV was much more polished game when it came out.  As if people whom had played, and loved GTA seriers, really put their hearts into it.  

 

I just don't get that feeling from GTAV and I really try to love that game.  Seems very arcady to me, and something in the atmosphere of the game is just not there at this point...as if it's soulless.  

 

Anyhow, we need a PC version to rectify these issues.  Then it will be what it should have been in the first place.

No. What im trying to say is that the LAPD rather focuses manpower on places with a higher crime rate, thats why you might see officers commonly patrolling in Davis and Strawberry rather than Rockford Hills or Mirror Park. Also they have to cover more square miles but are lsser in numbers, therefore in rich places it depends on a call, however in the Ghetto its a different story as you are commiting a crime a random cop car might pull up from an alley or a deserted Street.
