How I'd go about Purchasing this!

Featured Replies

Hey, so I was on humster3d.com (a few vehicles in mind) today looking at some vehicles. I have plans to buy them but really want to do this properly. How do I go about doing this? I buy the vehicle then I know somebody converts it and does that mean they now have my car files? How does modding or editing the model go ,a I allowed after I buy it. Anyone willing to reply just giving me the story (tips) and what to do when purchasing a vehicle model that I would like to use personally and edit uniquely?

Thanks,

Hope to talk soon!

Usually people who convert the model ask if they can use it in return usually equal rights are given with the owner (person who bought it) and the converter im involved with two vehicles being converted from a website similar to it and to be honest I don't advise it its a pain in the ass if you don't know who you're working with.

Know any good decent people who convert and mod the same vehicle?

Humster3D models are REALLY high poly and it would take a lot of work to get into GTA IV. I would recommend you look somewhere else such as TurboSquid.

VERY HIGH POLY!

Like what has already been said above, but there's more. Humster3D's license doesn't allow you to share the model. It's very limiting. I'd suggest (as Him1250 pointed out) TurboSquid or SQUIR (but be warned, the cars on SQUIR are extremely high poly. You'd have to optimize them). Another thing, it's often better to save your money on the models and learn to scratch model, or put the money into learning to scratch model, so you can make your own car instead of buying them.

You can make nice cars and objects in zmodeler2.

Even still, it's better to learn it in 3ds Max as, personally, I believe it gives more flexibility in terms of what shapes you can make. (Not that ZModeler doesn't, it's just more difficult in ZModeler.)
