Callout ideas + dispatch improvements

Featured Replies

OK, here are my ideas:

New Callout Ideas

  • Road Traffic Collisions (RTC), could involve a biker hit by a car, lying in the road and owner has fled
  • Add an option which allows you, when you are working as N.O.O.S.E, for a massive drugs bust, at somewhere like an abandoned factory (old Sprunk factory in Alderny, Broker Docks, abandoned Alderny casino etc.). You could lead 3 or more vans and/or unmarked vehicles, with lights but no sirens (or sirens if you want) to one of these places, hide behind the cars, call for them to come out and then have 10 or so dealers come out with rifles and there is an epic standoff. Maybe complicated but sure would be fun

Dispatch Dialogue (ooo, alliteration)

  • First off, it usually says (over the radio) something like: Attention all units, we have a report of a, uh, drunken driver in... Leftwood, but the text says: We have a drunker driver in your in Leftwood. Two things with that, 1) can the 'in your in [place name]' be changed to 'in [place here]' and 2) can you change the text to fix the dialogue.

Thanks guys!

1. That is available in the Policing script by Braveheart. You can also use the police helper by Abraxas to increase the policing in your game.

2. Would be possible to implement with the API, lots of work though.

3. Didn't notice that before, huh. I'll have to check again. Totally missed that.

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

I love the idea of the RTC's because it makes things more fun and interesting. Not everyone in the police deals with a guy/girl with an AK-47 under their car seat during a traffic stop or a guy gets mugged and instantly dispatch knows about it etc. But unfortunately the rockstar engine doesn't allow for a decent dynamic crash scenario, and turning up to see 2 cars perfectly undamaged spawned in the middle of the road and trying to pretend that they've had a nasty collision just sucks. Braveheart did a good job of trying, credits to him for his attempt. But unless you build the game to begin with you can't make it that dynamic with a script add on as fair as I know.

So what ineseri said above, braveheart's script is your best bet for RTC's, and using Abraxes' police helper to spawn in road barriers and cone's etc to make it more roleplay like.

As for the NOOSE thing I rarely play as them. Mainly because their job as you highlighted, is for big scenarios. I lose all fun when I do a traffic stop on someone while wearing a tactical vest and poised like a mong with an assault rifle. So some extra scenarios for the NOOSE players would be a nice idea.

You can roleplay NOOSE raids pretty easily without scrips. Just play as the NOOSE officer (or undercover cop) and go to a gang area or strip club, call backup and go on a busting spree

For the third one: What should be changed (besides fixing "in your in")? Do you mean changing the intro ("attention all units, we have a report of")?

Well, it looks weird when it says "Attention, civilian reports shots fired in your in Northwood "
