ATTENTION BRIT-COPS!

* Update - Day 30! *

The series is BACK!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIM9vfJGjT8

Well, just couldn't wait to try LCPDFR 1.0 - I felt the urge to make a video about it right away! In this walkthrough, I pick a variety of callouts and try out some of the interesting features of the mod. Grab a cup of tea and watch me take down armed suspects with nothing but an ASP Baton...

Enjoy a patrol in the new LCPDFR 1.0, without the crashes!

Would just like to say a big thanks to the G17 development and community team for working together to release such a fantastic mod! It may have a few crashes here and there, but I'm sure they'll get on top of it and fix the bugs soon enough. Well done and a BIG cup of tea to you!

Really enjoyed watching this, although you should read over the user guide.  It explains things like calling in events, opening doors, etc.

Also, to force a pursuit, you can hold down CTRL at the same time as pressing the traffic stop key.  And when you see the weird Press ~ messages, that means the key definition is screwed, it should always show a key.  Go check your .ini file and make sure everything is working.

Looking forward to more videos though, there's nothing I like more than seeing people play new versions of the mod for the first time.  It's always great to see other people enjoy it, because sadly we don't get that experience ourselves very often.

Gonna make something similar. "The LAPD way". Use a M4 against every suspect.

Don't forget to have LASD and CHP as well.

Oh yeah, and change the max cars and max cops values in your .ini.  You're going to need 20 cars minimum.

And shoot unarmed suspects running away in a Coqotte in the back? And Taze random gang members?

Should bring along the San Bernardino cowboys to burn someone alive too.

Patrol #2 is UP! This time I'm trying out the new partner system... check the first post for the video!

I think you need a few more 1.0 tips!

For the drunk driver calls, they're not active pursuits when you accept them.  You should catch up to the driver and attempt to pull them over - they don't always run either.  Active pursuits that you are involved in are easily identifiable by the flashing red and blue circle on the map - this is the search area for the suspect (you can also increase its size by calling a helicopter (CTRL N by default)).

Make use of the pursuit tactics menu as well.  The reason the cops obliterated the guy on the bike was because he ran over a cop when the chase started.  They have a tolerance value, which is decreased every time the suspects piss them off.  When the suspect attacks them, the tolerance value decreases rather rapidly.

Also make sure your Taser is properly installed and working - the AI cops will make good use of it.

Don't forget you can call things in with ALT + E, especially if not in an active pursuit.  If someone attacks you, call it in, and an active wanted hunt will start on them (you'll see the red and blue flashing search area, and other units will try to arrest them).

I do like your videos though, you should do an ARV one next time.

Patrol #3 is UP! Now I go in as an ARV, part of the Metropolitan Police Service's SCO19 Firearms Command, tackling some of Broker's most ruthless thugs!

Didn't manage to try out the Pursuit Menu but I responded to a variety of callouts, equipped with an MP5 A3 and ballistic helmet, with my trusty partner by my side...

Also managed to get the Taser working. I've got to say the 1.0a hotfix helped out alot!

"And not the NOOSE Officer because he walks like a twat!"

Didn't see that coming, had a mild laughing fit. Will no proceed to watch the rest of the video, first minute usually makes or breaks the video for me, that made it. :)

Painful to watch the bit with the car door fiasco!  Just drag her over to the open door and press E to seat her inside :).  Alternatively, if you have ELS running or something, you don't even have to open the door - you can just drag her to the closed door and press E, it will place her inside as well.  I think that's in the tutorial as far as I can remember.

Oh and you should always call a helicopter when you get a visual loss on a suspect, especially on a far away pursuit.  Traffic does not spawn far away from the player, meaning no AI units will join in and the suspect will have all the roads completely free to himself to escape.  Helicopters are insanely useful in 1.0, and can be called in on any pursuit.  Plus if you're feeling a bit violent you can set the helicopter tactics to aggressive and authorise lethal force, then call in a helicopter.  You'll get a NOOSE gunship and it will shoot at the suspect.

Cool, thanks I'll try that out next time. If all else fails there's always the trainer when I'm in the car  Also the NOOSE gunship seems a bit gung-ho for my British patrols at the moment...

Although I found it very helpful that the helicopter was automatically deployed to my pursuit - I was able to keep an eye on the suspect much easier

I've got all my cars as the old met fleet now and I do really wish I could get them looking as nice as your lights, HOW DO YOU WORK THIS MAGIC?

It's all to do with the ENB settings mate - the visualSettings.dat file contains car:default emissive line which you can edit to a higher number to make the lights flash brighter.

And, last but not least...

Update!

Patrol #4 is UP! This time it's an Area Car (advanced repsonse vehicle) in the Metropolitan Police Service, utilizing the new ANPR system and wiping the smile off uninsured drivers!

You keep forgetting to call in your events!  ALT + E whenever a suspect is fleeing or someone attacks you.  You can target ANYONE as well and ALT + E them to set them as wanted too.

ALT + B for backup, ALT + N for noose, CTRL + N for helicopter (in pursuits).  Use them!

Patrol #5 UP! Taking a break from the 1.0 callouts this time and intergrating it with the Braveheart's Policing Script ones. Although it's not officially recommended, using it in conjunction with the VDH Police Helper seems to work just fine! Had no game crashes whatsoever!

Once again thanks to the whole G17 Media team, Braveheart and Abraxas for creating such fantastic mods!
