Computer Making Weird Buzzing Sound

Featured Replies

My Gaming computer will start making random buzzing sounds. It stops when I press my hand on top of it. Is this normal? If not, what is wrong with my computer?

That's not normal, and we won't be magically able to answer what is wrong with your computer with that information. Let's start with: Laptop or Tower?

I used to have that problem (and I have it again...). The first time it was a problem of some of the inside parts (I think graphic card or something) that was on its last legs. It freaking drove me nuts, I had it stuck with adhesive tape so it didn't make noise lol... It may be also that some cable is touching the fan or so.

Take it apart then your do an full cleaning "like dust" then check all of your fans and hardware, check for any errors (useing windows 7 or 8) on the SSD or HDD. check your GPU, you might want to overclock it.

-and try and sing to it, that might not help any-way

It's probably a loose or broken ball bearing in one of your fans. You'll need to isolate which one it is and then replace it.
