zippydapinhead12 got a reaction from 42069 in What Is Your Opinion On Cop Haters?Police Officers are just like every other person on planet earth. Some are smart, some are stupid, some are nice, and some are mean. Just like everybody else, you have to work and/or cooperate with them to keep the day moving, whether you like it or not. When I get older, I want to go into law enforcement, just like my father and my brothers before me. I have my opinion, the cop haters have theirs. Everbody is entitled to their own opinion, cause its MURICA...Its all really simple, but it becomes a different story when those opinions cause dangerous situations.

zippydapinhead12 reacted to ZombLee in VapingVaping for me pertains to the electronic cigarette I use daily. I did not think you could add marijuana to the mix, not because it's impossible, but because I have never used, nor do I plan on using weed. (Don't think this makes me against or have a low opinion of those who do, just basically listing my experience with "vaping" nicotine)
I use a brand of electronic cigarettes called Cig 2 O (Like H2O ) and the way to get started with those is to go into any place that sells regular smokes, and buy the "starter kit" which contains a battery a charger, and a cartridge. This kit costs 19.99 USD, and the charger hooks into any usb port, the battery screws into the charger, and a charge is obtained in about 2 hours. This battery lasts for hundreds of useages before it needs charged again. The cartridges contain a liquid nicotine/flavor solution in varying doseages of nicotine. I use the 18 milligram cartridges. Each cartridge is supposed to be the size of a pack of cigarettes, so you can assume 20 uses per cartridge (however, I've gotten more, so it's more of a baseline.)
The cartridges are sold in packs of 3, and costs 9.99 USD. If you figure that each cartridge is supposed to last as long as a pack of cigarettes, that's really, really cheap, as a single pack of real smokes cost about 7.99 USD and indeed I only find myself going once every other month to buy some more cartridges. Of course, because nicotine is involved, despite electronic cigarettes claims to have only nicotine and flavoring in their solutions, you have to be 18 years old (same age is required for people to buy smokes in the U.S.) This is because nicotine is extremely addictive, and as far as any research can be done, still harmful. You have to imagine, any substance that is created by a plant to poison any possible insect or herbivore predators, would definitely be harmful. And that's exactly what nicotine is: It's a liquid substance the tobacco plant produces as an insecticide.
As for the potential health and safety risks involved with using electronic cigarettes? Well the makers of the electronic cigarettes claim them to be safer than real cigarettes because they only contain nicotine and flavoring. So you're supposedly getting all the nicotine you'd get with a cigarette, but none of the tar, rat poisons, ect contained in real tobacco cigarettes. They claim this because the liquid nicotine flavor solution contacts a heating element contained in the cartridge powered by the battery when the user inhales on the electronic cigarette. This causes the nicotine solution to evaporate and produces a thick white-gray "smoke" that delivers concentrations of nicotine to the user. In reality the "smoke" is actually water mist, and that is all that is exhaled. Just water vapor and some CO2 from the user breathing out.
In reality not enough testing has been done to prove the safety of electronic cigarettes versus real cigarettes. Indeed I can tell you that there is no smell when you use an electronic cigarette which is the main reason why I use one. I HATED the smell of real cigarettes. Any time I smoked one, I would have to compusively wash my hands, chew very strong mint chewing gum, and practically wanted to shower the instant I was finished every time I smoked. With electronic cigarettes the smell is non-existent, and that is great. I do not buy into the safety of them in comparison to real tobacco cigarettes. Why? As I said earlier nicotine is a natural poison.
What's worse is that the FDA has no regulation over the manufacture of electronic cigarettes and the nicotine/flavor solution they provide. So God only knows what is actually going into those cartridges, since nothing has to be food-safe, pass regulations for heavy metals, ect ect, yadda yadda, because the FDA refuses to look into them talk about them, or give them their seal of approval, due to these new forms of nicotine delivery systems cutting into their profits from tobacco taxation.
Anyways, long story short:
Regular exposure to Nicotine alone are not known to science to be harmful, cancerous, or deadly in any way, unless you're exposed to high concentrations, in which case you can suffer from nicotine intoxication, or poisoning. I have accidentally given myself nicotine intoxication due to an electronic cigarette cartridge leaking onto my skin. Nicotine can be absorbed through the dermis very quickly. Nicotine intoxication involves dizzyness, impaired vision, heart rate and blood pressure increases followed by irregular heartbeat, nausea and vomiting. Medical intervention doesn't involve anything more than a "watch and wait" mentality, because, honestly, there is nothing they can do, unless coma or heart attack occurrs. I rode out my nicotine intoxication when I realized what had happened, and didn't seek medical assistance. I was dizzy and nauseous, but never got sick because I think I got only a small amount on my skin.
This speaks for the safety of these devices. They CAN and will leak, and that is dangerous.
Science doesn't know if nicotine alone is cancerous, and electronic cigarette manufacturers claim they're safer than tobacco cigarettes because there is no other additives. However, how do you find concentrations of nicotine to add to these flavor solutions? By buying vats of the stuff from tobacco cigarette manufacturers, and indeed tests have shown trace amounts of tobacco additives in electronic cigarettes.
Add to this the fact that the FDA has no involvement in monitoring what goes into these flavor/nicotine solutions, and I'm sure there are some deadly poisons leeching in.
There has been no long-term tests of electronic cigarette use on volunteer human groups to see their affect of the health system. If anyone will know if an electronic cigarette can kill you, I'm sure it'll be me as I have been using them for years now. I do not have breathing issues like I did when using tobacco cigarettes. But mainly, I DON'T SMELL. That is the only reason I use electronic cigarettes, and I have to say, just don't use any of the garbage because no matter what, it'll kill you.
And of course, this is all based off the fact that I live in the United States, and so everything I listed applies to this country. I don't know about outside the US. Gotta be 18 to buy electronic cigarettes.
And again, since you were asking mainly about vaping marijuana, I have to apologize since I have never tried it to know enough to attempt to list anything. Hopefully my novel about the vaping of nicotine will help you in your decisions not to use any of it, because once you start, it will be a bitch to stop.
EDIT: More about the brand I use. I apologize to the mods if I'm not allowed to link off site. I don't consider this advertising, but I guess it could be inadvertently.

This is something you'd expect to see in the 80's/early 90's not modern day New York City.

zippydapinhead12 reacted to Olanov in Being a Police officer in the US.Not exactly so. Long guns have begun appearing more commonly used by perps, leaving law enforcers in need of much greater firepower and range to neutralize the threat than what a service pistol or their shotgun may have. Incidents such as the North Hollywood bank robbery, Chris Dorner manhunt and many others in between have proven that it is necessary to have patrols carry this caliber of weaponry with them to prepare them for such situations. Since these LEO's are also trained to use them, long guns have become a valuable tool when tac units aren't there to help patrols.
But yes they do. APC's are a great tool for getting law enforcers where they need to be SAFE when they're under a big threat. They aren't that commonly mobilized too, but when they are, it's for their best. Drones? I can imagine they're a great tool for tracking down perps on the run. They're not your military type drones armed with missiles by the way as a lot seem to think for some reason. Not every department does have SWAT. Why a lot do though is understandable, violence in the states isn't that rare and larger incidents that require tactical intervention are bound to happen more easily and they do, SWAT teams are highly essential even if they're on stand-by.
People don't get most of the stuff is implented for officer safety. Like any firefighter or military soldier is granted equipment for their safety, so are the police. They shouldn't differ from it at all. Because of violence dangerous in nature is all too common and criminals have access to weaponry dealing damage in great lenghts, law enforcement agencies must have the upper hand.

There are Police Officers, and there are Pigs. Police Officers are respectable and do their job. Pigs abuse their power. There is a difference.

Of course, Being a city cop, sheriff, or trooper are all very noble jobs. Don't believe everything you see on TV and YouTube about all cops just want to beat up people and stuff, in those stories you only get about half the story. But there is that 1% of cops that makes the whole look bad... Being a cop in the U.S. is a VERY respectful job.

As you see here viewers, we have the world famous American Hood Rat, also known as the Americunus Hoodratticus in it's natural habitat. As we can see, it is performing it's pre-nourishment rituals and calls.
I work at a Dairy Queen, and have for about 8 months now, and I've had my fair share of incidents that have almost involved the police, but none this bad. I did have to fill out a police report for terroristic threats though. Woman and her husband wanted a small sized cup of hot fudge for their ice cream cone, which is against company policy, but they didn't get that for some reason. This prompted the wife to threaten to blow up our store, and her husband to claim that if he didn't get what he wanted, he was going to come into the store and stab me. Luckily I had my 9.25" pocket knife with me in case something would've happened. But, called the police, gave the make, model, color, and plate number of the car, description of the subjects and our security cameras. Needless to say, they were fined and are banned from our store. lol.

zippydapinhead12 reacted to cp702 in no GTA5 for pc wondering ?If Rockstar decided on whether or not to make a PC port (which is a pretty major business decision; porting is expensive, and the programmers involved could otherwise be working on other projects) based on an Internet petition, they probably wouldn't still be in business. Internet petitions are utterly meaningless for any real purpose - since there's literally no cost whatsoever to sign them, they don't convey any useful information. Rockstar will not and should not decide anything important based on a petition - those sorts of things are fine to make minor decisions, but for important things, they're much more likely to look at what will make them more money.
What meaningful information does that petition give? Don't say "it shows a lot of people want GTA V to be ported" - it doesn't. The problem with Internet petitions is that there is next to zero cost for the petitioners, so the message has nothing to indicate any form of sincerity.
You say "if Rockstar cares about their fans, they'd listen to them." Rockstar does have to pay attention to what potential customers want. But an online petition is a terrible way to do this. Because there's no cost on the signer's end, it completely fails as a signal.

zippydapinhead12 got a reaction from Four1one in [DEBATE] Your Opinion On Legalizing MarijuanaI agree, some of your points are valid.
I kinda worded the first reason badly. I, personally, am sick of that whole "If we all smoked weed, then there would be no problems" attitude And I did not mean that people would start automatically smoking crack after weed is legalized haha. I just think that people are going to eventually get sick of it and move on to something else. Like "Medical Cocaine" in GTA V...lol PLUS: The last thing the United States needs is drugs legalized. Our Economy is in the crapper, and citizens pay taxes to others who dont want to get a job, and would rather sit around all day. I think most people would rather take a hit from a bong and have a good laugh, rather than work. What do you think? -
zippydapinhead12 got a reaction from Four1one in [DEBATE] Your Opinion On Legalizing MarijuanaJust thought I'd add my opinion to contribute. Personally, I think marijuana should stay illegal for a few reasons...
The people that come with the drug- I dislike the culture... "bro, chill out and take a hit, it will solve all your problems" More hardcore drugs would be hitting the streets- Marijuana is a gateway drug, people are eventually going to look somehere else to satisfy themselves More Car Accidents- Even more people are going to drive under the influence Thats my two cents
