Hello guys! When my friend and I play LCPDFR online it glitches. When I host the game it doesn't crash for me but it crashes for him. When he hosts the game it crashes for me not for him. I will know when it's going to crash because in the police station i will begin to see doubles of people. I saw secuirty guards talking and then another one spawn right on top of him and then the traffic officer will have two of him. The mods I have installed are ELS, Police Helper, Indicator Script, traffic flow, LCPDFR, Braveheart's police script. 

 

I don't know how to fix it. 

Are you using exactly the same mods as your partner? 

Well I don't know. I told him the mods I use and to install everything. I believe you helped him at one point. 

Oh dear, I did? Then this is all my fault  Haha, for the best multiplayer experience you need the same mods, or better yet, no mods at all. 

He's kind of a fool sometimes.

I'll keep you up to date about what's going on. I do have a stupid question but I'm using GTA 4 from Steam and I was wondering if I used ENB and stuff like that will it do anything to my steam? Like is it safe to use and stuff? 

It is fine, and safe, to use mods with steam. Don't worry :)

I do not personally use ENBs. But yes, you would have to use exactly the same mods. 

Um... Actually, ENBs are client side mods only, meaning that you don't both need them to ensure stability. IIRC, ENBs work by modyfing the visuals, and they don't use, modify or interact with the GTA IV files.

Unless you overwrite the "visualsettings.dat", then you mess with the game files. But, I could be wrong of course. I'm no expert on ENBs :)

If i use ENB will it cause any issues with steam or whatever and if I play online will my partner need to have ENB installed also? 

I don't think that it would cause any issues if only one of you has ENB.

Traffic flow would be your issue.

Don't use Traffic Flow in MP.

It will cause doubles of people, & cars spawning at the same place, & that will make you crash.

So what should I do about all of the cabs then? 

The Taxi Bug occurs when you have too many, too high poly models and your computer is too weak to handle it. Remove the car mods. Or, you can try creating a file called "commandline.txt" in your GTA IV folder and add the following contents: 

-renderquality 0 -shadowdensity 0 -texturequality 0 -viewdistance 0 -detailquality 0 -novblank -norestrictions -width 320 -height 240 -safemode -windowed -percentvidmem 100 -minspecaudio -novsync -renderquality 0 -frameLimit 0 -nomemrestrict

I removed traffic flow from my scripts.
