Saanich PD still use the CVPI also with the Tahoe, Suburban and Chevy/GMC van with white paint and a blue strip. Their new lineup consits of the Dodge Charger, Tahoe, Chevy/GMC van and the Police Intercepter Sedan(Taurus), with the new colors and logo(black n' white with brass colored shield)

Yes the Chevrolet Caprice is based off the Holden Commodore. At least we civilians Down Under have access to a car that is never sold to civilians in the 'States, yet.

Cheers.

Did they ever catch anyone?

Denmark Never used Crown vic

Sadly :/

The Crown Vic is quite huge & doubt it would fit on some roadways.

As the title says, are there any departments left that still use the Crown Vic? or completely faded them out with newer PI's

I read here: http://bc.cb.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/ViewPage.action?siteNodeId=50&languageId=1&contentId=30628

That they put 4 2011 CVPI's on the road as of this year & the general duty life span is roughly 2-4 years ( depending on usage) which means that there will still be a few in Service until at the very least 2015.

What are their takes on the new Taurus/Charger?

Nope.

Rode along with my local RCMP detachment last Friday (for around 6-7 hours), still Crown Vics everywhere. They had 1 new 'Taurus' hidden in the garage... Apparently it doesn't get used much. We mainly have the Crown Victorias and Tahoe SUVs rolling around.

The majority of our fleet is still Vic cruisers... even though we have a nice new mixture of Dodge Chargers, FTPIs, and CC PPVs. I still have my Vic-TU when needed, most of the time I'm using a Charger.

Did you happen to ask what they think of it? the Mounties around here are pretty mixed, they have 3 here in Cole Harbour, they use the Crown Vics still a lot as well as the Tahoe & Charger I get mixed feelings whenever I ask.

I asked the guy I usually ride with, he said he's in no rush to try it and when he did, he didn't really like it as much as his Vics or Unmarked Tahoe he usually drives.

Well both city and sheriff still use crown vics but do not purchase them with need,  The sheriffs dept uses the new chargers(ugggggggggggly) and crown vics and a Tahoe. But the city uses Tauruses and expeditions for k-9, Also bike police (bycicle) which I am love idk why but the thing about the city police I love is that they stocked up on cvpi's after a huge amount of extra money came in they just bought stuff they don't need...new guns, cars, uniforms, etc....

Colorado State Patrol has nearly wiped them all out. They are replacing them with chargers, nearly 75% of their fleet are chargers, the other 25% are supervisor and vip vehicles with a dash of vehicles being field tested (like the Taurus, Impala, and Caprice).

But Colorado Springs PD, nearly everything they've got is Crown Vics lol.

Even though people will say the crown vics won't last, trust me if anyone can its a police department. Not all PDs have enough money to get fleets of new cars, that money could be used for repairs and other projects (and unexpected bills) just as normal. I'm willing to bet the LAPD will have crown vics much passed 2015 xD ahhahahaha.
