Colorado State Patrol has nearly wiped them all out. They are replacing them with chargers, nearly 75% of their fleet are chargers, the other 25% are supervisor and vip vehicles with a dash of vehicles being field tested (like the Taurus, Impala, and Caprice).

 

But Colorado Springs PD, nearly everything they've got is Crown Vics lol.

 

Even though people will say the crown vics won't last, trust me if anyone can its a police department. Not all PDs have enough money to get fleets of new cars, that money could be used for repairs and other projects (and unexpected bills) just as normal. I'm willing to bet the LAPD will have crown vics much passed 2015 xD ahhahahaha.

I think the LAPD still have a couple '97's in Service.

I really don't like the Whelen Vertex' as the new strobes.. its pointless have then & use the new LED Wig Wag System, they look good in Amber & mounted on the fenders :D

On the Taurus, that flash in the marker area is the Vertex, horrible place to put them.

My local police department has gotten 2 2013 dodge chargers, 1 explorer and 2 new Harley motorcycles.  They bought around 10 2011 crown vics and 2 or 3 expeditions a few years back. I see them using them for another two three years. Except for the Canine Unit seeing as they only get new equipment and vehicles from money from drug seizures.

My county Sheriff has a bunch of Taurus & Explorers along with some Christmas tree 12'13 Chargers. They still use the crown Vics but its slowly dying out. I would see them maybe once a day driving a vic. As for my local Police Department its the opposite, they still use the crown Vics but have given the entire fleet a new paint job. Some even have new Liberty Lightbars. They use Crown Vics, Impalas and Tahoes.

 

This is what my PD looks like before and after. I tried to find Sheriff pictures but all I can find are Crown Vics and not the Taurus.

Ok so I got this couple of photos from some units parked outside of a Target store I work at. There was a Crown Vic too but no need for a photo of that. This is what the deputies drive now.

My city still uses mainly uses the crown victoria as the marked vehicle. We are starting to get taurus and we've always had the tahoe. Most of the cities tahoe's are unmarked. Then again my city uses almost any vehicle like I've seen: Chargers, Toyota Camry, Multiple Jeeps, Older Ford Taurus, a Buick/Mercury, and other vehicles rolling on the street unmarked.

 

Sheriff uses Chargers, Tahoe, and Crown Vic and same for the State Troopers.
