Yeah a handy tool is OpenIV,

 

When you open up the .wft in that program ( Cdimages -> Vehicles ) and then the list of the vehicles you have edited.

 

Everytime you open up the .wft of the vehicle that you modified ( well every vehicle in the game ) it shows an amount in the left top corner

I noticed something, the crash occurs when I like "teleport" to a new area. For example I get killed, then spawn at the hospital, you see the little cinematic camera flying then games crashes, before I can get control of my player.

Well that's looks very normal, as I do get the same as you do. I would do is Download "here" read that thread then install it.

 

Download Large address Aware Extracted the folder, then click and run, once open Do the following

• Find the following “LaunchGTAIV then Click on open
• makes sure you click on the Check the box
• Save, then close the program and DO NOT delete the Location of where the Large address Aware is, once you have saved it you don’t need to open it or use it again, the only time you need it, if you have to reinstall the game.

Could happen after texture loss / city bug. Your computer needs to load textures again, is filled up. Get lost i`ll crash could be his response.

Maybe the vehicles / peds too much polygons.

ELS 7, and I think the problem is ELS 7, I will test it out tonigh without ELS.

 

I only ask because ELS 6 is a lot less stable than 7. The problem could be anything, really. With all the mods I have, I'm lucky if I can play 20 minutes without it crashing.

Yeah well like I said, I removed the high poly car and didn't do anything, gonna more tweaking tonight.

I re-installed the game and installed mods and now I get a SMPA60 error, omfg I hate GTA IV. I always have problems >_<

Okay, so I think I've found the issue. After going on a live chat with some computer experts, they were saying it was my RAM. So, because I only have 2 sticks, I took one of the sticks out, played with it and the issue persisted, so, I knew that one was faulty. I put the other one back in, and the issue stopped. Maybe try the same thing?

I'm on a laptop can't do that that easilly... anyways what I did was re-install the game. Now when I re-spawned at a hospital it showed me the SMPA60 error instead of just freezing. So I didn't knew what to do and remebered I did a ticket on that error and the problem was ELS 7. So I did what the fix center ELS 7 post said, which was to remove lights for the AI, and my game works now.
