Now, I've never actually downloaded ELS as it just seems to me that all it does is give you flashing lights, but upon reading the ELS V7 release announcement it was mentioned a few times that it's 'revolutionary'. That got me wondering, 'cos a flashing lights script doesn't seem at all revolutionary, so basically, does ELS having function other than emergency lighting?

It makes the light patterns more realistic, it adds the ability to cycle through the siren modes, create custom LED patterns, and adds more realism all around. ELS v6 supposedly wasn't very stable, though I never once had a problem because of it, but ELS v7 has miles more features and is miles more stable.

It's an advanced lightning system, pretty revolutionary for a game where you are supposed to murder the living fudge out of everyone.  

ELS works by putting extra parts on a vehicle which ELS can use as flashing lights.

Basically, when you turn on your ELS lights, these extra parts gets removed and then put back over and over again so it looks like a flashing pattern.
