ANOTHER SCHOOL SHOOTING!!!!!!!

Featured Replies

It will leave every citizen defenseless when a criminal busts in somewhere guns-a-blazin'.

Pretty sure that already happens. One key example is the story this thread was created for.

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.

MODERATOR NOTICE Enough with the foolish conspiracy theories and personal arguments. What matters today is that a boy and a teacher died. This is not the time to spew hatred towards guns, hatred

  • slimory is at it again...its a tragic thing that happened but if you notice...these school shootings happen in what ya know a gun free zone....more gun owners=less crime...more gun control=higher crim

prob.  another case of a kid being bullied and couldn't take it anymore   so the kid waited for them outside the school

Okay, I suppose you have a point. In this case, you cannot expect children to be carrying around guns for self defense. I am talking about a public place where adults are present. I know a lot of adults who have concealed carry permits. Do you see where I am coming from? Either way, we all have our opinions, and I respect the opinions of others.

Where exactly did you get the idea I support kids carrying guns? Schools should at least have armed security, but in my opinion, allowing teachers to carry concealed if they so choose, as well as required advanced training, would be better.

I think you interpreted that the wrong way. I meant that in this scenario, in a school, kids cannot defend themselves from an gunman.

No, but being that it is a facility that the government requires the most defenseless members of society to attend, the least the government can do is make sure that students are adequately protected. Allowing teachers who choose to carry concealed in school, which I'm sure there are many who already have permits for their state, strengthens the security of that school.

Definitely agree. My town recently hired 18 or so new guards for the schools. Even for the schools that already have resource officers. Waste of town money. It would be better if they just put a safe in every principals office across America, with an AR fully loaded, cocked, locked, and ready to rock. Some town in the Midwest or down South already did that. To prevent the principal from going on a rampage, or any teacher for that matter, they could put in almost something like an ADT system, where the faculty member would need to ask dispatch to remotely open the safe. Just my 2 cents.

He's Canadian  whata  ya expect

What does Canadian have to do with me being against guns? i'm not the violent lunatic carrying a gun giving americans a bad name.. Americans do that just fine on their own, not all Americans are like this, you just hear about the MAJORITY of Americans killing each other with this so called "right" of yours.. at least I don't go to anti gun rallies..

slimory is at it again...its a tragic thing that happened but if you notice...these school shootings happen in what ya know a gun free zone....more gun owners=less crime...more gun control=higher crime rate its simple math and    so please don't tell people to ban guns because you are a super karate fighter kung foo master and lack common sense....guns don't magically get up and kill people if anything its a mental health issue so blame the justice system and the mental health issues for not solving the issue better so I will keep my guns thank you very much and so will the rest of the responsible citizens of america

"slimory is at it again" you have a problem with that? I'd LOVE nothing more than to get into yet another heated argument but, isn't my topic, oh well, may have to save it for another day.

@ Sgt. Perez- No need to worry about me, I'm just sharing my right of free speech! I can def handle these fine individuals, end of the day regardless of topics discussed, I don't dislike anyone here, but i'm almost positive tz1 isn't very fond of me (lol)

good idea but the only thing is that cops should be stationed at schools  in my opinion

My local department has school liasons specifically for trouble with students, they are in full uniform, even have their own cars, Ford Focus' & Dodge Avengers, it would be pretty wise if they did it that way.

What part of "keep this on topic and don't continue fighting" do you not understand? I specifically stated in the previous page multiple times that fighting is to stop and yet you two (k-9 police 9 and Slimory) are right back at it again. Your posts have been hidden.

My school has 4 school based police officers that deal with everything, hell! They even do traffic stops after school right out the front.

They also have there own vehicles (General Duty Cars) and where full uniforms.

Here in Sweden, the only visit we ever got from police was during locker raids. Fun times.

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

Indeed! That's the only reason the police ever visited, no social visits here :P

:P

Our lockers aren't aloud to be raided, we even have the option to say no if they ask to look inside. But then they will gain permission and we will be forced to show them. ;D

I am such a smart ass when they ask to see my locker ;p

????? Your locker is school owned isn't it? So the permission they need is from......the principal and not a warrant right? That's kinda......... Be funny if they had to get a warrant, shit kids by the hand fulls would be requesting a warrant to be present, which would not make a judge very happy xD.

Also, no there aren't school shootings every day in the United States. News in the United States is completely over exaggerated, and 99% of the time new studios jump the gun. And get off fox news for those who think school shootings happen everyday.

Next you people are gonna tell me people don't kill people 'these weapons do' *you crying, bitching, moaning, etc* :((( lol. Some of you need to wake up.

My school has complete authority over our lockers. If they want to, they will. Part of the reason why we have school issued locks, and aren't allowed our own. I would actually prefer it that way. We have a lot of smart asses at our school, so it's nice to see them put in their place, and not avoiding the rules of the school.

I say if you shot some you should be trailed as an ADULT even if you 10, if you going to do something a 20+ person would do you should be trailed like a 20+ person would

dude from I gathered by your replies  your  hoping / pushing for it to have suppose to been a mass shooting,       this shooting has no mark's of that

telling you from personal experience and what happened in my life,        this  has all the marks of a kid getting bullied and driven over the top to where he couldn't take it any more,  committing susicide and prob likely trying to take out those who were doing it to him / her

Your exactly right mate, but I think the enforcement and life support division/s in the community should work harder with troubled teenagers as well as adults to sort out problems preventing events of this magnitude taking place.  Possibly more advertising to promote such institutes, places and hotlines would be a good start.

Not forgetting greater government support and funding.

the funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it
