Clan vs. Multiplayer group?

Featured Replies

Okay, so here it goes:

Back in December (when I first heard about LCPDFR) I managed to download the mod on my old laptop (and it surprisingly worked pretty well). I joined a couple of clans, and then later in February, I created my own. That clan closed down back in August (it was semi-successful) and now I've got my custom built computer up and running (downloaded drivers and all less than 12 hours ago). I've seen lots of people who have sort of gone past the clan days and do multiplayer groups now. For example, BayAreaBuggs: he was in LCDPS and now he's part of the Code Zero crew, who are very successful and they are the only LCPDFR players I thoroughly enjoy watching playing. Another example is mattmcs2. He was in AST and now he just plays with some of the other members who left. So my question is, if I have already been in clans and done all of that, should I just play with a small group? What would you think? And also, if I were to go in a small group, would there be anyone willing to play with me? Just needed a bit of advice on this one.

SCNG FTW!!

Honestly, it is all about what you prefer.

Some people like to have the patrols with 15-20 people with dispatch / control and have actually something like a community with rankings and those kinds.

And other like to be in a group just drive what they want ( As it fits in it ) and roleplay just together. And actually Mattmcs2 is in a clan, RCMP ( The big one :P )

So it is all about what you prefer and what you like. And you can always check it out and if you don't like the small group of people well find a clan, maybe together with your friends.

I prefer to be in a clan, the ranks doesn't matter to me but i don't know i like it more then just a small group.

But that is my own opinion

Mattmcs2 didn't wanted to go out of AST, When Conch became a commissioner, he kicked matt out of the clan, because he kicked out Johnson and Appillow14. He says he stopped, but he didnt, i was in AST when mattmcs2 "leaved"

I must admit, I formed a multiplayer group around the same time that a friend of mine created a clan. The multiplayer group did so much better. We had a much higher join rate, and the games were much more successful.

Multiplayer groups really target players which don't like the formalities of clans. Most don't want the rank structure.

Please stay on topic.

Thanks. I was actually going to tell everyone to stay on topic, but I didn't want to be caught for backseat moderating. Thanks :D

Well, I've made my decision! Multiplayer group it is! Anyone willing to play with me? I'm going to put together some models really quick.
