Anyone else here have the battlefield 4 beta yet??? I have been playing it for a couple of hours and its pretty sweet, a few bugs but that is to be expected (I guess..)

I think it gets released to everyone oct. 4th but if you have BF3 premium or you preorder i think you get it now. Gonna be a hell of a game when the full game is released!

I don't have it. On a side note, pretty much all I get are Battlefield 4 ads on this site, which I find kind of weird.

I've got it. I was attending a citizens police academy class tonight and I got home too late, but I have tomorrow off so I'll play it then. I'm a seasoned BF3 player so I'm expecting some great things. Heard there are terrible frame rate spikes though.

The frame rates really aren't that bad as some people are making it out, Just make sure you get the latest drivers they released today for Nvidia and ATI cards and you should be good, I have a i5-3570k with a GTX660 TI and mine has hardly had any problem.

I had one FPS spike, rest of the time was about 75FPS on Ultra. Game looks kinda bland in some spots, lively and vivid in others. The starter Assault Class gun is great, actually, and if you're good at BF3, you're good at this game.

I haven't played it yet. I want to though. I Dunno if it'll make me buy the 360 version or just wait for the One version.

I have got the beta, but for me its really laggy (probably because i play in servers hosted in Chicago).

Hell only thing I will have is the PC version. I watched some beta gameplay footage on youtube of ps3 and I was like...."Oh my God...Poor console people" lol  I forget how out dated the textures and everything is on the current gen consoles til I watch some gameplay then it makes me glad to have a nice computer!

All I can say. Damn did they step it up from BF3. Played 45 minutes of it and was in love. 

Trust me when I say, if I could run BF4 on a PC, I would. But money doesn't grow on trees for me, and when your saving for college with LESS than 25 hours a week at minimum wage, it is far more cost effective in the short and long terms to buy and use a game console. Now, I am plenty sure that if I went through with a purchase of an Xbox One and BF4, without factoring xboxlive (which I already have a 14 month membership for), and a new HDMI capable TV, I am set back around (just ball-parking here) $1200 CDN and change. If I went through with the purchase of my PC (well laptop, I can't use a desktop), with windows 7, new keyboard, BF4 and a new mouse, I am set back approximately $2500 (since I know the laptop alone will cost me $1647 CDN including shipping). So, the more viable for me will be the Xbox.

Why are you buying such an expensive laptop then? A Core i7 gaming PC with a higher end graphics card shouldn't cost you more than $1000. Just stop trying to buy them from companies like Alienware. Go visit a Future Shop or whatever chains you have up there in Canada and buy one from a store.

The problem I have is that I don't live in a city, and i'm not going to fork out gas money to drive to one. My town only has three stores for computer sales: Staples, The Source, Wal-Mart. I have purchased things from those stores before and have been less than satisfied with my purchases. The site I went to was iBuyPower.com for their CZ-17 Valkyrie. I was willing to spend a bit more on a computer so I can do a bit more that I can with an ASUS from staples or a Leveno if they have one.

Then order an ASUS or something online.

I already went over it. I just went with what I thought would be best for me. I'm set firm on my decision, I won't change it unless iBuypower closes their site or something weird like that.

I have got a new PC, so hmmmm. I wonder... I'm not really a fan of FPS games and also games where you have one objective (shoot everything you see in your path). 

Despite a few lag spikes, the beta is awesome. I love the VOIP for PC, and it looks like they finally fixed the net-code which means I can now play on American/British servers without being able to shoot people behind cover. 

 

The map and visuals are beautiful. My only complaint is that both factions start out with the same gun, which for balancing is good but it doesn't offer much variety between the different factions.
